Patent number: 11936815Abstract: A system and method for managing virtual queues. A cloud-based queue service manages a plurality of queues hosted by one or more entities. The queue service is in constant communication with the entities providing queue management, queue analysis, and queue recommendations. The queue service is likewise in direct communication with queued persons. Sending periodic updates while also motivating and incentivizing punctuality and minimizing wait times based on predictive analysis. The predictive analysis uses “Big Data” and other available data resources, for which the predictions assist in the balancing of persons across multiple queues for the same event or multiple persons across a sequence of queues for sequential events.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Virtual Hold Technology Solutions, LLCInventors: Daniel Bohannon, Richard Daniel Siebert, Jay Power, Matthew DiMaria, Matthew Donaldson Moller, Shannon Lekas

Patent number: 11279550Abstract: There is disclosed a dispenser 10 for dispensing product objects, comprising: a main chamber 20 for storing product objects; and a portion dispensing mechanism for dispensing a portion comprising a plurality of project objects 40. The portion dispensing mechanism comprises a gate arrangement 36 and a collection chamber 24 which are configured for relative linear movement between a loading configuration and a dispensing configuration. In the loading configuration a plurality of product objects 40 within the main chamber 20 collect within the collection chamber 24 and the gate arrangement 36 prevents product objects 40 from being dispensed from the collection chamber 24. In the dispensing configuration the gate arrangement 36 prevents product objects within the main chamber 20 from entering the collection chamber 24 and a plurality of product objects are dispensed from the collection chamber.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2018Date of Patent: March 22, 2022Assignee: MARS, INCORPORATEDInventors: David Gadd, John MacDonald, Matthew Wright, Duncan Colquhoun, Richard Donaldson, Jake Dale-Brown

Patent number: 9272950Abstract: In some examples, a technique for forming a partially densified preform including ceramic particles may include mixing a densifying agent with metal oxide particles or metal oxide precursor to form a blended densifying agent, infiltrating the blended densifying agent in to a porous preform, pyrolyzing the infiltrated preform to convert the densifying agent to carbon and form a partially densified preform, and heat treating the partially densified preform to react at least some of the carbon with the metal oxide particles to form ceramic particles. Composite materials formed from porous preforms in which a blended densifying agent is disposed in pores of the preform are also described.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2013Date of Patent: March 1, 2016Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Akshay Waghray, Richard Donaldson, Mark L. Patent number: 5807642Abstract: A ceramic body based on barium and strontium titanates has a composition defined essentially by the formula Ba.sub.1-x Sr.sub.x TiO.sub.3, where x ranges from 0 to 1. The ceramic body is chemically and dimensionally stable in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) operation environments, which encounter oxidizing and reducing atmospheres at temperatures as high as 1,000.degree. C. In addition, the ceramic of which the body is comprised can be tailored to yield a ceramic in which the thermal expansion coefficient (CTE) is adjusted between 11.3.times.10.sup.-6 /.degree.C. and 12.4.times.10.sup.-6 /.degree.C. to match the CTE of the other SOFC materials, thereby avoiding the adverse effects of thermal stress. These features make the ceramic body especially suited for use as manifolds in SOFC stacks, or other non-electrical structural components, such as the inflow and outflow gas manifold materials, the stack housing, or other support structure or spacers in the stack, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1996Date of Patent: September 15, 1998Inventors: Liang An Xue, Jean Yamanis, Richard Donaldson
