  • Patent number: 7719480
Abstract: A display of an embodiment of the invention includes a number of display modules that are interlockable to form the display. Each display module includes at least one user-viewable display element, at least one connector, and at least one receptor, which are disposed in the display module. Each of a number of pixels of the display corresponds to at least one of the display elements of each display module. The connectors of each display module at least receive power from and/or provide power to adjacent display modules. The receptors of each display module are receptive to connectors of other adjacent display modules.

  • Patent number: 7668398
Abstract: A method of displaying an image with a display device is provided. The method comprises receiving image data associated with an image, generating a set of three sub-frames using less than all of the image data, and alternating between displaying the set of three sub-frames in first, second, and third positions, wherein the second position is spatially offset from the first position, and wherein the third position is spatially offset from the first and the second positions.

  • Patent number: 7289114
Abstract: A method of displaying an image with a display device includes receiving image data for the image. A first sub-frame and a second sub-frame are generated based on combinations of pixel values from the image data. The method includes alternating between displaying the first sub-frame in a first position and displaying the second sub-frame in a second position spatially offset from the first position.

  • Patent number: 7109981
Abstract: A method of displaying an image with a display device includes receiving image data for the image. A first sub-frame and a second sub-frame corresponding to the image data are generated. The first and the second sub-frames are generated based on minimization of an error between the image data and a simulated image. The method includes alternating between displaying the first sub-frame in a first position and displaying the second sub-frame in a second position spatially offset from the first position.

  • Patent number: 7086736
Abstract: A display system for displaying an image includes a modulator configured to produce a light beam that sequentially bears a plurality of color image sub-frames, where each color image sub-frame corresponds to one color in a plurality of colors; display optics configured to display the light beam such that the plurality of color image sub-frames are successively displayed to form the image; and a wobbling device configured to displace the light beam between display of each of the color image sub-frames such that a color image sub-frame corresponding to each color in the plurality of colors is displayed in each of a number of image sub-frame locations.
