  • Patent number: 10666007
Abstract: A cable connector wrench and method of operation that in one example has a shaft with a pair of asymmetrical jaws at one end and a handle coupled to the other end. The two jaws form an assembly in which the jaws are joined with a pivot. The fixed jaw is attachable to the shaft and the movable jaw is coupled to the fixed jaw. The movable jaw and the fixed jaw cooperate to engage a connector of a cabled assembly wherein the connector wrench is adapted for tightening or loosening the connector of the cabled assembly.

  • Patent number: 9363915
Abstract: A system and method for building an electronic system with line-replaceable units (LRUs) is presented. The system includes a first LRU electronic module with a first connector on a side of the first LRU electronic module and a second LRU electronic module with a second connector on a side of the second LRU electronic module. To build the electronic system, the first connector on the first LRU electronic module is connected to the connector on the second LRU electronic module to form a first LRU electronic module and a second LRU electronic module combination with the first connector and the second connector interior to the module combination formed by the first LRU electronic module and the second LRU electronic module. The first connector and the second connector cannot be seen from outside the module combination formed by the first LRU electronic module and the second LRU electronic module.

  • Patent number: 9312526
Abstract: A system and method for installing a battery in an electronics module is presented. A battery mount includes an elongated battery can with first and second ends and receives a battery through the second end. An insulating sleeve with first and second ends is fitted around the first end of the battery can. A metallic cap is placed over the first end of the insulating sleeve and around a portion of the insulating sleeve. A non-conductive housing is mounted in the electronics module to receive the battery can and the battery. The metallic cap is attached to a front panel of the electronics module when the battery can and the battery are inserted into the housing. The insulating sleeve and non-conductive housing isolates terminals of the battery from a surface of the electronics module and the metallic cap provides for electromagnetic interference shielding of the battery.

  • Patent number: 7336493
Abstract: Apparatus which is capable of providing efficient cooling of rack mounted electronic modules while accommodating relatively large tolerances in the mounting of the modules. A plurality of thermally conductive sliding wedge blocks are interposed between the lower surface of each module and the upper surface of the cold plate base of the rack. The mechanism for clamping a module to the rack also pulls the wedge blocks together to fill in the gap between the lower surface of the module and the upper surface of the cold plate so as to provide a complete thermal path therebetween.
