  • Patent number: 10940447
Abstract: A control circuit for automatically stopping the flow of a gas in a primary circuit, includes a valve, a sensor and a controller. The valve is couplable with a primary pressure-regulator that controls the flow of another gas in a primary circuit. The valve has an inlet operable to receive a gas and an outlet operable to distribute the gas. The sensor is positionable in the primary circuit and operable to sense a parameter of the flow of the gas in the primary circuit and generate a signal that represents the sensed parameter. The controller is operable to receive the sensor's signal and, in response to the signal, direct the valve to close if the parameter of the flow of gas in the primary circuit lies outside of a predetermined range.

The valve is couplable with a primary pressure-regulator that controls the flow of another gas in a primary circuit. The valve has an inlet operable to receive a gas and an outlet operable to distribute the gas. When the valve is open the pressure of the gas at the valve's outlet equalizes with the pressure of the gas at the valve's inlet. When the valve is closed the pressure of the gas at the valve's outlet is prevented from equalizing with the pressure of the gas at the valve's inlet. The sensor is positionable in the primary circuit and operable to sense a parameter of the flow of the gas in the primary circuit and generate a signal that represents the sensed parameter.

  • Patent number: 8695270
Abstract: A method for recycling soft artificial fishing baits comprising: providing used soft artificial baits to be recycled; providing a mold having two separable sides cooperatively defining at least one cavity therein, each cavity having a shape corresponding to a desired fishing bait, fastening means, holding means, at least one vent hole; placing used soft artificial baits into the holding means; placing the mold with artificial baits in the holding means into a microwave oven; heating the mold with artificial baits in the holding means for a time sufficient to melt the baits and cause material to fill each cavity; allowing the mold to cool for a time sufficient to allow the material in each cavity to solidify; opening the mold and removing each molded bait; and cutting away any excess material that may be attached to the bait.

  • Patent number: 6629773
Abstract: An improved injector system including an injector operatively connected to a source of pressurized gas and mounted to an accumulator located in close proximity to the bottom of a tank containing a fluid or other materials. The injector comprises a chamber housing and a valve disposed in the chamber housing. The chamber housing is matable to an accumulator that defines an orifice, and receives pressurized gas from an external source. The valve engages the accumulator and selectively administers or obstructs the release of the gas into the tank as directed by an actuator contained within the chamber housing. In ambient environments that tend to foul and clog the chamber orifice or accumulator orifice, a removable orifice plate is used wherein the valve engages the orifice plate.

  • Patent number: 4595296
Abstract: The invention relates to a mixing and blending system in which pulsed air or gas bubbles (45,46,47) of predetermined variable size and frequency are injected into a tank (10,60,80) containing materials to be agitated or stirred for mixing and blending. The air introduced at the bottom of the tank through an air inlet opening (24, 25). There may be more than one air inlet and the inlets may be provided with accumulator plates (42) depending upon diameter and height of the tank in which the mixing and blending is taking place. The inlets are located so as to create circular toroidal flow (48, 50, 52, 54) of fluid in a generally vertical plane. The accumulator plate has the purpose of assisting the formation of essentially a single bubble (46) from the compressed air charge made to the air inlet and increasing the time required for the bubble to rise through the liquid by causing it to be formed more quickly and closer to the bottom of the tank.

  • Patent number: 4313439
Abstract: A system is provided for the administration of a medicament, such as insulin, to a patient in small, controlled doses over an extended period in response to a continuously generated force. The force may be maintained continuously on a reservoir of the medicament in intermittent communication with a site in the body of the patient through a flexible and compressible tube. A constrictor about the tube keeps it normally closed except when a separate force is exerted to open the constrictor and permit the medicament to flow through the tube for a predetermined period. Alternatively, the continuously generated force may be applied intermittently to the medicament reservoir through the action of an escapement mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4262825
Abstract: A louvered clamshell door assembly for the bottom of a preheating charging bucket includes a pair of doors which open by swinging outwardly and upwardly to discharge scrap metal from the bucket and which cooperably adjoin upon closing to retain scrap metal in the bucket. The doors include multiple stepped louvers which form the bottom weight-bearing surface of the charging bucket. The louvers of each door are supported by underlying chair support plates and are pivotably attached thereto to prevent jamming of scrap metal pieces between the louvers and to also permit thermal contraction and expansion of the louvers over many preheating cycles. Free convection of air through the louvers and scrap metal is facilitated by air deflectors attached to the chair support plates. Lateral shock absorption slots in the chair support plates improve the shock absorption capacity of the clamshell door assembly during loading of the bucket with scrap metal.
