  • Patent number: 6132345
Abstract: An exercise dumbbell includes a handle having a first weight member releasably coupled thereto. In addition, a first light structure is releasably coupled to the handle adjacent the first weight member such that the light member securely couples the weight member to the handle. The first light structure includes a light source house within a fluorescent lens.

  • Patent number: 4674925
Abstract: A gang drill head having a row of drills spaced according to repeated patterns of holes in a tubular member such as a suction roll in a paper-making machine which are clogged and are to be cleared by drilling the same, the drill head being guided for longitudinal movement along a guide member positioned upon the roll for circumferential incremental movement to effect radial movements of the rotating drills for the full circumference of the roll and the head including longitudinal adjustment of individual drill supports in accordance with the spacings of the repeated patterns of holes in the roll. The individual drill chucks are rotated simultaneously and manually controlled linkage causes raising and lowering of the drill head by a fluid-operated unit.

  • Patent number: 4524816
Abstract: A centrifugal ceramic casting furnace including a horizontal arm rotatably supported by the upper end of a vertical shaft driven by a motor and the arm having a casting ring cradle on one end, a muffle movable along said arm a limited distance toward and from the cradle and a counterweight device mounted upon the opposite end of the arm adjustably both longitudinally and upwardly in a manner to balance the opposite ends of the arm statically and also adjustably dispose the effective masses of the muffle and counterweight within a common horizontal plane to effect substantial freedom from vibration while the furnace is rotating at a centrifugal casting speed.

  • Patent number: 4452487
Abstract: An operatory stool has a seat supported upon a post-like member extending upward from a caster-supported base, the seat having a short post extending upward from an edge of the seat and supports a horizontal curved arm for rotation about the axis of the post. Inter-engageable position control members are mounted respectively on the arm and upper end of the post and are operable for separation by raising the arm a short distance to disengage them, then rotate the arm about the axis of the post, and then release the arm to re-establish engagement of the position control members which are maintained in engagement by a compression spring. A one-way clutch also is mounted between the arm and post to permit rotation of the arm a limited distance in one direction only to augment the pivotal movement of the arm permitted by disengagement of the position control members.

  • Patent number: 4251211
Abstract: This invention pertains to a dental operatory console system including one or more fluid control valves for driving air and water to be delivered to dental handpieces supported for ready removal from a pivoted holder to provide adjustable angular positioning of the handpiece, one of such pivoted holders being adjacent each control valve and including a lockout for the valve plunger when the handpiece is removed from the holder, such as when changing burs, to prevent accidental operation of the air and water valve for delivery to the handpiece. The pivoted holder is readily removable for servicing the valve and the fluid circuit for water and air between a source of the same and a plurality of handpieces in the console includes shuttle valves to permit the use of a single air pressure gage for the system rather than a gage for each handpiece as in conventional multiple-handpiece consoles.

  • Patent number: 4245989
Abstract: This invention pertains to a water recycling system for economy in water consumption by dental evacuating equipment employing a water seal type pump and includes a storage tank for waste water received from the pump, a fresh water tank above the storage tank, and an air and water separator compactly arranged with said tanks, passage means between said tanks to permit makeup and flushing water to pass from the fresh water tank to the storage tank and flush the latter through syphon mechanism, except residual seal water remaining in the pump. Conduits extend from dental evacuating equipment to the pump and then to the air and water separator to vent air to atmosphere and pass waste water to the storage tank, and an additional waste water conduit extends in gravity-flow manner from the storage tank back to the pump for recycling and economy in water consumption.
