    Abstract: A camera, means for varying the direction of the field of view of the camera and means for focusing the camera are all secured within a water-tight enclosure. The enclosure has a transparent viewing port and is spherical or near spherical. No moving parts extend beyond the enclosure and a single cable housing contains all wires and control lines leading to the enclosure.
