Strips of webbing are arranged on the outer surface and fixed at regular intervals to form a series of gaps. Attachment means are dimensioned to correspond to said gaps and configured for releasably attaching modular units to the strips of webbing. The modular units also have strips of webbing for attaching to the main bag and for mounting further modular units thereon.
