The body has a substantially cylindrical tubular section that interferingly engages the cane or crutch to be held. The means for securing the body and flange to a table top may comprise a spring biased rod having a knob on one end and a substantially U-shape on the opposite end. Alternatively, the securing means may comprise a second flange that is connected to the first flange; the second flange has a first portion extending in a plane substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body's cylindrical tubular section, and a second portion which extends obliquely toward the first flange.
