  • Patent number: 10456278
Abstract: An ostial stent is operable to be placed at the ostium of a patient's vascular system so as to improve vessel patency in the ostial region. The ostial stent includes a stent tube that presents spaced apart proximal and distal stent openings and a longitudinal stent passage that extends between the openings. The stent tube includes a selectively-expandable tube section and a self-expandable tube section. The self-expandable tube section projects longitudinally from one of the stent openings, and is automatically expandable to a flared condition for placement within the ostium.

  • Patent number: 9463026
Abstract: A hemostatic compression system facilitates patent hemostasis of an arterial access site on the arm of a wearer. The system includes a radial compression band and a Doppler probe. The radial compression band includes an elongated arm band sized to receive the arm. The compression band also includes a pressure surface coupled to the arm band and facing radially inward for compressive engagement with the access site. The Doppler probe is coupled to the arm band adjacent the pressure surface and is configured to sense blood flow through the artery. Hemostatic compression applied by the radial compression band is variable in response to the sensed blood flow so as to ensure patency of the artery during hemostasis of the site.

  • Publication number: 20130030513
Abstract: An ostial stent for use in improving vessel patency includes a manually-expanding tube section that presents a distal opening of the ostial stent and a pre-shaped self-expanding SMA tube that presents a proximal opening of the ostial stent. The tubes are attached end-to-end to define a passage extending continuously between the openings. The tubes have a generally cylindrical shape in a radially contracted condition so that the tubes can be inserted into the patient. The self-expanding SMA tube is self-expandable from the radially contracted condition to a memory flared condition.
