The plurality of lid panels comprise a lid central panel and at least one lid side panel foldably connected to the lid central panel. The lid cooperates with the tray to at least partially close the package when the package is configured in a closed position and a venting position. Venting features are operable to vent the package when the package is configured in the venting position.

    Abstract: A cylindrical tubular canister package has a body and ends. A tear-away strip is formed in the body by a pair of spaced partial cuts on the outside of the body. A thin strip of tear tape is secured to the inside of the body underlying and extending along the tear-away strip. A tab is formed at one end of the tear away strip. The canister package is opened by grasping the tab and pulling away from the canister body, which causes the tear-away strip to be severed from the body to open up the canister. The strip may extend axially, circumferentially, spirally, or otherwise along the canister body.

The dispensing flap is formed in an end flap and covers an opening formed in another end flap when the carton is formed. The dispensing flap is detachable along a pattern of tear lines and the dispensing flap can be hinged to expose the opening and allow contents of the carton to be dispensed from the opening. A tear tab can be included to initiate detachment of the dispensing flap along the tear line pattern. A hanging flap can be provided to hang the carton from a vertical surface. End flaps and tuck-in flaps can be provided at a first end and a second end of the blank to secure the ends of the carton.

    Abstract: A carton suitable for both shipping and displaying an item, particularly a bake good, such as a pie, is disclosed. The carton includes a top panel a bottom panel, first and second side panels and first and second end panels. According to an embodiment, a detachable panel section is provided in the top panel and the first side panel, and a substantially transparent film is attached to an underside of the top panel and the first side panel behind the detachable panel section. The carton may be opened to remove the item contained therein for cooking or preparation. The carton can be converted to a display configuration by completely detaching the detachable panel section from a remainder of the carton such that the transparent film forms a display window. When the carton is in its display configuration, the item may be placed in the carton such that the item is visible through the display window.

    Abstract: A package for holding compact disks includes a box having a front, a back, sides, and a window in the box front, a cover hingedly connected to the box and sized to close the window; a tray received in the box, and a plurality of sleeves received in the tray. The tray includes a bottom, a pair of opposed side members and a pair of opposed end members. The side and end members each including a leg extending upwardly from the tray bottom and a panel extending outwardly from a top edge of the leg. The legs of the end members and side members define a chamber and have a height substantially equal to the height of the sides of the box. The tray having a width and length substantially equal to the width and length of the box. The sleeves have a front and back defining a pocket sized to receive a compact disk, and a mounting strip hingedly connected to the sleeve along a bottom edge of the sleeve for mounting the sleeve to the bottom of the tray.
