    Abstract: Apparatus for use with a fire safety device such as a sprinkler has fusible means for attaching one or more magnets to a non-magnetic first member or escutcheon. The magnets may also hold the escutcheon to a magnetic second member such as a housing for the sprinkler until heat, as from a fire, melts the fusible material to release the escutcheon from the magnet.
