  • Publication number: 20240122598
Abstract: In one general aspect, various embodiments of the present invention can include a motorized surgical cutting and fastening instrument having a drive shaft, a motor selectively engageable with the drive shaft, and a manual return mechanism configured to operably disengage the motor from the drive shaft and retract the drive shaft. In at least one embodiment, a surgeon, or other operator of the surgical instrument, can utilize the manual return mechanism to retract the drive shaft after it has been advanced, especially when the motor, or a power source supplying the motor, has failed or is otherwise unable to provide a force sufficient to retract the drive shaft.

  • Publication number: 20240113443
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a polarization shifter including a lower substrate having disposed thereon first and second transmission lines for coupling to a feed network, an upper substrate having disposed thereon third and fourth transmission lines for respective communicative coupling to orthogonally-polarized elements of a radiating element, and a dielectric layer residing between the lower substrate and the upper substrate, the upper substrate being configured to mechanically couple to the radiating element, the dielectric layer coupling the first transmission line with the third transmission line and coupling the second transmission line with the fourth transmission line, the upper substrate being rotatable relative to the lower substrate to effect polarization adjusting for the radiating element to facilitate avoidance of interference or passive intermodulation (PIM). Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11949168
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a motorized drive assembly that includes a motor and a drive assembly, where the drive assembly has an axle configured to be disposed through a rotatable substrate of a polarization shifter for a dual-polarized radiating element, the axle being further configured to fasten, at a first end of the axle, to a support structure of the polarization shifter, wherein, when the motorized drive assembly is assembled to the polarization shifter, the motor is controllable to impart rotational forces, via movement of the axle, to the polarization shifter to effect polarization adjusting for the dual-polarized radiating element. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240097543
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to control engine speed of a power system are disclosed. An example power system includes: an engine; an air compressor configured to generate and store air pressure in an air storage tank based on mechanical power provided by the engine; and control circuitry configured to: monitor the air pressure in the air storage tank; determine a rate of air pressure change based on the monitoring of the air pressure; in response to the rate of air pressure change satisfying a threshold rate, incrementally increasing a speed of the engine; detecting a load on an AC auxiliary output; and in response to detecting the load on the AC auxiliary output, overriding an engine speed based on the air compressor, and controlling the speed of the engine to be the predetermined speed to output the predetermined frequency.

  • Patent number: 6789345
Abstract: A fish lure making system for making a fishing lures for fish eggs and other baits. The fish lure making system includes a tying means for making the fishing lures. A spool is provided for holding the tying means. A sack is provided having an access opening designed for holding fish eggs. A housing having an interior is provided for selectively receiving and holding the sack. The housing includes a pair of clip portions and a securing portion. The spool is rotatably mounted between the pair of clip portions of the housing. The securing portion of the housing includes an aperture extending through the housing for receiving the sack. A securing assembly is slidably positioned in the interior of the housing for cinching the sack positioned through the aperture while user ties the sack blocking the access opening of the sack.

  • Patent number: 5887713
Abstract: A holder for removably supporting a compact disc or other object with a hole in the center. The compact disc is supported by at least two arms which are held on a flexible step. The arms have an outwardly extending protrusion which holds the compact disc in place. When it is desired to remove the disc the arms are pressed from above and they hingedly move together and cause the compact disc to pop upwardly from the arms.

  • Patent number: 5628819
Abstract: A regeneratable adsorber for adsorbing adsorbable contaminates from a fluid stream containing same is disclosed. The adsorber includes an adsorber housing in which there is a fluid stream inlet and a fluid stream outlet. The adsorber also includes a plurality of adsorber chambers which are arranged in an indexable wheel configuration. Each chamber includes an electrically conductive adsorbent, such as a monolithic activated carbon, a set of electrical conductors in contact with the adsorbent, and an inlet and outlet. A chamber is either in contact with a source of contaminate fluid or a desorbent fluid used to regenerate the adsorber. The adsorber includes selectively indexed chambers for adsorption or desorption to provide continuous contaminate adsorption and regeneration.
