  • Publication number: 20230067863
Abstract: A diamond lens (3) configured for use in a multispectral imaging system (1). The diamond lens (3) has a largest linear dimension of at least 10 mm and is formed from diamond material having a birefringence An of greater than 1×10?4, measured over a specified area of at least 4 mm by 4 mm through a maximum thickness of at least 400 ?m. A multispectral imaging system (1) comprising the diamond lens (3) and a component (2) comprising the diamond lens are also described.

  • Patent number: 10648594
Abstract: An adjustable Vertical Support Member (VSM) that can be raised or lowered by turning a crank. Each VSM consists of a outer frame that has a base, and an inner frame that is adjustably positioned within the outer frame. A crank system is provided to lift (or lower) the inner frame as needed to restore the pipe to its original position. In this way, a pipeline can be set easily over varied terrain or, for operational reasons, at different heights, without equipment or large crews.

  • Patent number: 9043416
Abstract: Apparatus for selectively enabling functionality of a machine having a first state, wherein some or all of the functionality associated with the machine is selectively disabled, the apparatus comprising: an input for a user to select the disabled functionality; a transmitter for sending an SMS message in response to a user input at the input means; a controller for generating a control signal associated with the sending of the SMS message, the control signal configured to place the machine in a second active state in which some or all of the functionality associated with the machine is selectively enabled.

  • Publication number: 20140207508
Abstract: A method for exchanging one or more employees includes providing access to a resource system to at least one offerer and at least one requester, the access being provided over an electronic network, allowing the offerer to post within the resource system data associated with one or more employees currently under the employ of the offerer, and allowing the requester to view, in response to a search within the resource system, a data record associated with the posted one or more employees of the offerer. The method further includes facilitating, within the resource system, an agreement process between the offerer and the requester to exchange the employee from the offerer to the requester for a limited time, the resource system being owned by a resource service entity that is separate from the offerer and the requester.

  • Patent number: 6942711
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a filter media comprised of an electro-conductive scrim so as to improve on the dissipation time of an electrostatic charge. Further, the present invention is directed to a method of making such a filter media, which is formed through hydroentanglement, thus avoiding the deleterious effects of mechanical needling, while providing a filter media having the requisite strength characteristics, without possessing a limiting factor in performance. The filtration media of the present invention also demonstrates a highly desirable uniformity for cost-effective use.

  • Publication number: 20050000890
Abstract: A filter media comprising hydroentangled predominant polyester staple length fibers having a basis weight of no more than about 12 oz/yd2, an air permeability of at least about 180 cfm, and machine-direction and cross-direction shrinkage of less than about 3%, exhibiting greater than about 85% capture efficiency with particle sizes in the range of about 30 to 40 microns, and exhibiting greater than about 60% capture efficiency with particle sizes I the range of 20 to 30 microns.
