  • Patent number: 11964154
Abstract: The present technology is generally directed to systems and methods for addressing a patient's sleep apnea. At least some embodiments include an electrode array and a controller. The electrode array can include one or more electrodes and can be configured to be implanted at least proximate to a target tissue of the patient in an orientation, with at least a vector component of the orientation aligned along an inferior-superior axis of the patient. The controller can be communicatively coupled to the electrode array and include one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of the controller, cause the controller to direct an electrical signal to be delivered by the electrode array to the target tissue.

  • Patent number: 5873995
Abstract: An end-of-life indicator comprising a housing having a chamber therein and attachable to the water treatment device, a diaphragm disposed within the chamber, a rotatable cap having indicia disposed thereon adapted to cooperate with the housing, a spring device for rotating the cap with respect to the housing, an escapement device for regulating the rotational displacement of the cap and means for resetting the cap to a start position. The chamber is arranged for the ingress of water into the water treatment device to pressurize the chamber and the egress of water from the water treatment device to depressurize the chamber, the ingress and egress of water defining one fill cycle. The diaphragm is arranged to be moved by the pressurizing and depressurizing of the chamber. The escapement device are arranged to cooperate with the diaphragm and the spring device whereby predetermined incremental rotation of the cap is provided during each of the fill cycles.

  • Patent number: 4636202
Abstract: A compact, prefilled, ready-to-use, applicator for dispensing a medicament within a body cavity has a reservoir, an automatically-opening closure member and a telescoping plunger assembly. A closure member is disclosed, adapted to open responsive to the pressure of a medicament being dispensed, without disengaging from the reservoir in which the medicament is contained. A telescoping plunger assembly is disclosed, having impeller means disposed within the reservoir opposite the cap member and engaging means to lock the assembly in an extended position for urging the impeller means through the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4366964
Abstract: A wheelchair hand rim that provides improved control and mobility has a cross-sectional contour that is configured to optimize the gripping surface and finger wrap over widely differing angles. The contour (taken at top dead center) is characterized by a lower curved portion of sufficient radius to provide a firm finger grip, a generally vertical inboard portion, an outboard gently curved portion that slopes inboard from bottom to top, and an upper curved portion that includes an outboard segment of a first radius sufficient to provide a firm upper palm grip and an inboard portion of a second, smaller radius that is still sufficient to provide a smooth rest for the thumb of the user. A hand rim suitable for users having extremely limited grip strength has a peripheral configuration that is not circular, but rather undulating.
