Abstract: Provided herein is a doorstop that may be utilized to prevent opening of a door. Generally, the doorstop is configured for attachment near a bottom edge of a pull side of a door. The doorstop has a deployable wedge or stop element (e.g., stop cylinder) that moves from a suspended position, above a floor surface, to a deployed position in contact with a floor surface. After contacting the floor surface, any attempt to open the door imparts a rotation on the stop element. A radial dimension of the stop element increases along a length of a surface that contact the floor surface. In this regard, rotating the stop element provides an upward lift to the door, which is counteracted by hinges of the door. That is, rotating the stop element results in the door wedging, which prevents opening the door.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a landscaping stake and related driver. Generally, the landscaping stake is directed to a stake that may be configured into a U-shape and driven into the ground to secure landscaping elements such as edging. The stake has elongated legs having a contoured profile in cross-section which makes the legs very resistant to deformation permitting the landscaping stake to be driven into hard surfaces. The driver is configured to releasably engage the upper and of the landscaping stake.

Abstract: An apparatus and methodology is provided for filling portable containers, such as sandbags, with aggregate materials. The utility utilizes a transfer mechanism to selectively transfer aggregate between a supply of aggregate material (e.g., sand) and first and second filling stations that direct received aggregate into portable containers or bags. The transfer mechanism is operative to alternately supply aggregate between the first and second filling stations and operates primarily under the force of gravity.

Abstract: A system for mounting road signs and other posts which is simple to use, has few parts and is tamper resistant. The system also allows for the easy dismounting of the post for maintenance and changing of signs. The system uses a metal base driven into the ground, a non-square post with at least one flat side and a bifurcated wedge to lock the post into position in the base. This system also prevents rotation of the post due to winds or other forces.
