  • Publication number: 20170157595
Abstract: A method of increasing hydrogen content of a synthesis gas via a water-gas shift reaction includes providing a catalyst composition comprising cesium, molybdenum and sulfur on an inert support. A reactant gas mixture including synthesis gas (carbon monoxide and hydrogen) and steam, when flowed into contact with the catalyst composition, may form a hydrogen enriched shifted gas mixture.

  • Patent number: 8815963
Abstract: A catalyst composition includes an active material having a molybdenum- and sulfur-containing substance impregnated with an effective amount of cesium sufficient to promote synthesis of an alcohol, optionally carried on an inert support, wherein the active material is at least substantially free of a transition metal. The present invention is further directed to methods of preparing and using the same.

  • Publication number: 20070160517
Abstract: A catalyst, a method of and an arrangement for using a catalyst for controlling NO and/or CO emissions from a combustion system that combusts carbonaceous fuels, including introducing carbonaceous fuel and combustion air into a furnace of the combustion system for combusting the carbonaceous fuel in oxidizing conditions and producing flue gas that includes NO and/or CO, wherein the ratio of molar concentrations of CO and NOx is preferably at least 0.7, and leading flue gas from the furnace to contact with a catalyst in a flue gas channel, wherein the catalyst has a metal oxide loading comprising oxides of iron and one or more of a group consisting of copper, cerium and potassium, deposited on a porous support material, wherein the metal oxide loading is preferably 1-20% of the weight of the support material and ratio of the weight of oxides the group consisting of copper, cerium and potassium to the weight of iron oxides is preferably from 0.

  • Patent number: 4480131
Abstract: A primary alkyl amine and an alcohol of up to 12 carbon atoms are reacted at low temperature (50.degree.-250.degree. C.) over specific catalysts (alkali-treated catalysts generally or binary Cu/ZnO and Pd/SiO.sub.2 systems, with or without alkali treatment) to produce, with good selectivity, secondary and tertiary alkylamines of the general formula, R.sub.1 N(R.sub.2).sub.2, wherein R.sub.1 is a lower alkyl or an aryl group, and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or another lower alkyl or aryl group, with at least one of R.sub.2 's being an alkyl or aryl group.
