    Abstract: An instrument for manipulating on the surface of the eye to remove foreign substances therefrom comprising an elongated body member having spaced opposed ends and being of a length to facilitate the holding and manipulation thereof, a flexible thread-like member extending from at least one end of the elongated body member to form a loop for engaging and manipulating on the surface of the eye, the size of the loop being adjustable to enclose different areas of the eye.
