  • Publication number: 20150210964
Abstract: Consumer product compositions comprise a water soluble organic photoactivator, an electron acceptor which accepts an electron from the photoactivator when the photoactivator is in a photo-excited state and/or reduced state, and a benefit active precursor which converts into a benefit active agent via electron transfer. The electron acceptor is preferably not covalently linked to the photoactivator. Also disclosed are methods of making a benefit active, comprising exposing the consumer product compositions to light, preferably having a wavelength greater than about 350 nm.

  • Publication number: 20150210960
Abstract: Photoactivators comprise a photoactive moiety and a hydrophilic moiety. The photoactivators preferably comprise less than about 35%, by weight of the photoactivator, of the photoactive moiety. The photoactivators can be activated to a photo-excited state by excitation with incident radiation of a wavelength between about 350 nm and 750 nm, preferably between about 350 nm and about 420 nm. • Patent number: 9037577
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for filtering posts. One of the methods includes filtering a set of pages that are maintained in a social networking platform and in which a user has expressed interest based on one or more user-identified categories to identify a subset of the pages that are associated with the one or more identified categories. The method includes identifying posts in a data store associated with the pages in the subset. The method includes identifying a trending post from among the identified posts based on a measure of popularity of the identified posts. The method also includes sending data to a user device to cause the user device to display at least the trending post and some of the other identified posts with the posts ordered in the display with the trending post presented first and additional posts ordered chronologically.

  • Patent number: 8877696
Abstract: A cleaning composition may comprise a pH-switchable sudsing system and a cleansing system. The pH-switchable sudsing system may comprise a primary sudsing agent in combination with a pH-switchable co-surfactant. The pH-switchable co-surfactant is selected from diamine molecules having a general formula R1R2—N—R3—N+(CH3)3X?, where R1 is a linear or branched C8 to C16 hydrocarbyl, R2 is a linear or branched C1 to C3 hydrocarbyl, R3 is a linear or branched C3 to C6 hydrocarbylene, and X is a counteranion. The tertiary amine nitrogen of the pH-switchable co-surfactant has a pKa value. When the tertiary amine nitrogen is unprotonated, the pH-switchable co-surfactant may provide a suds-boosting effect in washing solutions at a washing pH above the pKa. When the tertiary amine nitrogen is protonated, the pH-switchable co-surfactant may provide a suds-reducing benefit in rinse waters at a rinse pH below the pKa.

  • Patent number: 7988069
Abstract: A shower header type spraying device having an elongated spray header with a plurality of laterally-spaced nozzles and an elongated cleaning brush assembly supported in said spray header for cleaning inlet apertures of said spray nozzles. The cleaning brush assembly includes an axially extending rod and a plurality of brush elements each mounted on the rod by means of a self-aligning member that has an arcuate shape corresponding to the outer circumference of the rod for orienting a row of brush bristles of the brush element in predetermined relation to the elongated axis of the rod. The illustrated brush rod assembly includes a plurality of brush rod segments each having a self-aligning coupling at an axial end thereof such that joining of adjacent rod segments automatically orients the brush elements in predetermined angular offset relation to each other.
