  • Patent number: 10465727
Abstract: The invention relates to an attachment device with a fastener, a first supporting disk and a second supporting disk, wherein the fastener has a head with a head contact surface and a pin extending out along a longitudinal axis, wherein the pin has an attachment end with a contact surface that is opposite the head contact surface. The first supporting disk has a suitably large opening to permit the pin to pass through the opening, and has a wedge-shaped section. The second supporting disk has a suitably large opening to permit the pin to pass through the opening and to permit the second supporting disk to turn relative to the fastener about the longitudinal axis of the pin. The second supporting disk is in contact with the wedge-shaped section and moves along the surface of the wedge-shaped section, when the second supporting disk and the fastener turn relative to each other about the longitudinal axis of the pin.

  • Patent number: 10202995
Abstract: A self-locking push-on clip fastener for securing two components together is disclosed. The clip fastener includes a u-shaped clip body that includes upper and lower legs and a curved end that connects the legs. The clip body has an open end into which the component to be attached is inserted. The legs are movable between an initial, spaced apart arrangement in which the component may be inserted into the clip body, to a final component-engaging position in which the component is captured between the legs. A slidably movable u-shaped trigger is attached to the clip body. A trigger-guiding channel is formed on the inner wall of one or both of the legs of the clip body. The trigger is slidably movable in the channel. An interlock system comprising first and second windows is formed in one of the legs of the clip body and a flange extending from the trigger.

Abstract: A self-reinforcing clip for securing a panel to a hole. The self-reinforcing clip comprises a first support member and a second support member each disposed in spaced relationship with one another and defining a gap therebetween. Each of the support members have a body portion and a flange portion. At least one tooth extends outwardly from at least one of the body portions for engaging an inner wall of the hole. At least one of the support members defines a contact surface. Further, at least one cross-over member is coupled to at least one of the support members and extends across the gap past the body portion of the other support member in alignment with the contact surface for engaging the contact surface for inhibiting movement of the support members toward one another when upward forces attempt to pull the clip from the hole.

  • Publication number: 20100178153
Abstract: A turbine having an inflow housing is provided. The turbine includes an inlet for an inflowing working fluid, wherein the inlet can be closed by a quick closing valve, a plurality of control valves and at least two nozzle groups. The flow of the working fluid is controllable by the inlet into the nozzle groups via the control valves. Furthermore, the inlet can be connected via an inlet line to the first nozzle group, wherein the inlet line is guided through the primary control valve such that the flow of the working fluid along the inlet line can be controlled using the primary control valve. The secondary control valve connects the first nozzle group to the second nozzle group such that the flow of the working fluid from the first nozzle group into the second nozzle group may be controlled using the secondary control valve.

  • Publication number: 20050078378
Abstract: The present invention is a head-mounted virtual display apparatus based on a non-cross-cavity optical configuration, in which a near-eye light deflecting element (LDE) is located in the peripheral field of view. Positioning of the near-eye LDE in the peripheral field of view provides the user with simultaneous access to an inset magnified image of a miniature display and an unobstructed forward field of view of at least 35 degrees. Active and passive alignment means, including articulating connections and image warping electronics, allows for correction of geometric distortion arising from folding of the optical train, and orthogonal alignment of the virtual image plane with the optical axis between the user's eye and the virtual image plane.

  • Patent number: 5799927
Abstract: A radial rotary slide valve for controlling a steam flow rate in a steam turbine, includes an immobile fixed ring and a rotary ring which is disposed concentrically on the latter in such a way as to be rotatable into an angular position that can be varied through the use of a servo motor. The rotary ring has first control profiles which correspond to corresponding second control profiles belonging to the fixed ring in such a way that control slots situated between the control profiles can be varied for opening or closing. The rotary ring is divided into a top part and a bottom part by a joint in the region of a joint in the casing. In order to optimize the play required for sliding between the fixed ring and the rotary ring, the top part of the rotary ring and the bottom part of the rotary ring can be connected to one another by a suitable connecting device for varying the distance between at least two opposing half-ring ends.

  • Patent number: 5409351
Abstract: A steam turbine includes a rotary slide for controlling steam throughput, particularly in combination with a steam offtake. The rotary slide has control slits formed therein. A stationary channel body has channel inlets formed therein with which the control slits cooperate for increasingly opening and closing the channel inlets depending on a direction of rotation of the rotary slide at the time. At least one roller bearing race is disposed between the stationary channel body and the rotary slide outside the vicinity of the control slits and the channel inlets, for reducing rotational friction. At least one of the control slits and at least one of the channel inlets is disposed at each of at least two separate orbits. One of the channel inlets is opened while others of the channel inlets to be opened remain closed, upon rotation of the rotary slide in a corresponding direction of rotation.
