  • Publication number: 20180242720
Abstract: A detachable hair brush apparatus is disclosed. The hair brush apparatus may comprise a handle with elongated metal extension rods at one end and at least one hollow brush head for insertion around the metal extension rods. In a locked position, the metal extension rods extend substantially through a base of the brush head. At least one button may be located on said handle for releasing the mechanical locking engagement. Torque provided by a user of the hair brush apparatus is absorbed by the metal extension rods of the hair brush handle. In this way, functional separation of two distinct systems is provided for, namely the function of “attaching” and the function of “absorbing torque”. This will make for increased robustness of each system. In a preferred embodiment, neither the handle nor the at least one hollow brush head comprises a magnet for coupling.

  • Patent number: 9468705
Abstract: Surgical devices and methods are provided for preventing the formation of post-operative adhesions. In one device, an envelope of material defines at least one opening, and another layer of adhesion-preventing material is disposed on an exterior surface of the envelope. A rigid or semi-rigid barrier member is at least partially disposed in a space inside the envelope, without adhering to the envelope such that the barrier member can be pulled out of the envelope through the opening.

  • Patent number: 9192385
Abstract: Surgical devices and methods are provided for preventing the formation of post-operative adhesions. In one device, an envelope of bioabsorbable material defines at least one opening, and a layer of bioabsorbable adhesion-preventing material is disposed on an exterior surface of the envelope. A rigid or semi-rigid barrier member is at least partially disposed in a space inside the envelope, without adhering to the envelope such that the barrier member can be pulled out of the envelope through the opening. In another device, a rigid or semi-rigid barrier member is removably attached to a layer of bioabsorbable adhesion-preventing material by a controlled adhesive. In another device, a rigid or semi-rigid bioabsorbable barrier member, such as compressed cellulose, is attached to a layer of bioabsorbable adhesion-preventing material. The envelope of bioabsorbable material may include cellulose or oxidized regenerated cellulose.

  • Patent number: 4638216
Abstract: An electron cyclotron resonance ion source in which a plasma is confined in a magnetic configuration having a first group of coils located in the plane defined by the tight window of an ultra-high frequency injector and surrounding the latter, supplying the magnetic field creating and confining a plasma as well as a second group of coils supplied in counter-field compared with the first group and surrounding an ion extraction system. Ion extraction takes place in a magnetic field well below that corresponding to the cyclotron resonance. This ion source has numerous applications in the field of thin layer sputtering, microetching, ion implantation, accelerators, etc.

  • Patent number: 4417178
Abstract: Process for producing highly charged ions making it possible to ionize a gas of neutral atoms by electron impact, the gas being introduced into an ultra-high frequency cavity excited by at least one high frequency electromagnetic field which is associated with a magnetic field, whose amplitude is selected in such a way that the electronic cyclotron frequency associated with said magnetic field is equal to the frequency of the electromagnetic field also established in the cavity, the latter being provided with an opening for the extraction of ions by means of appropriate electrodes, wherein the said magnetic field is constituted by superimposing of a multipole radial magnetic field having a minimum amplitude in the central part of the cavity and a rotationally symmetrical axial magnetic field having a gradient along said axis, the resulting magnetic field being regulated in such a way that in the cavity there is at least one completely closed magnetic layer having no contact with the cavity walls, whereby on s
