  • Publication number: 20030229335
Abstract: The present invention relates to a treatment for vaginal infections that does not promote colonization of artificially introduced bacteria such as Lactobacillus. Beneficial bacteria are contained within an outer cover of a vaginal insert that does not allow the bacteria to contact the vaginal tissue. The outer cover allows passage of metabolic byproducts produced by the beneficial bacteria into the vaginal tract creating an environment hostile to pathogenic microorganisms. The vaginal insert is placed in the vaginal tract by the user either by hand or by an instrument such as a tampon applicator. When the treatment time elapses the vaginal insert is removed.

  • Patent number: 5699817
Abstract: A system for cleaning of piping system using turbulent flow is provided by providing an input of a fixed flow rate of compressed air and a fixed flow rate of cleaning fluid. The fixed fluid flow is provided by either using an electric pump which may be controlled to do so or by restricting the air outlet of an air operated pump such that only a given amount of fluid will be delivered regardless of the pressure of the system into which the fluid is being delivered.

  • Patent number: 5346134
Abstract: A liquid-atomizing spray gun having an improved nozzle construction for spraying liquids under predetermined hydraulic pressures, and with the assistance of carbon dioxide gases, wherein the nozzle includes a forwardly-projecting shield having ports directed toward the atomized spray pattern emanating from a spray tip. The nozzle also includes ports for ejecting CO.sub.2 gas for assisting in the atomization process, the overall design providing CO.sub.2 -assisted hydraulic spraying and preventing air entrainment into the atomized particles in the region proximate the spray nozzle.
