  • Patent number: 10443626
Abstract: A circular row of non-uniformally spaced vanes includes only one first group and only one second group of adjacent vanes, unequal first and second spacing between adjacent vanes in the first and second groups, and first spacing greater than second spacing. An embodiment with second group including only three adjacent vanes. Second spacing may be about 25%-35% smaller than a nominal uniform spacing used as a design parameter for designing spacing of the non-uniformly spaced stator vanes. Circular row may be sectored. A gas turbine engine section may include one or more rings or circular rows of fixed and/or variable non-uniformally spaced vanes. Method for designing non-uniform vane spacing for circular row includes determining nominal uniform spacing and forming first spacing and second spacing from nominal uniform spacing of vanes.

  • Patent number: 10407497
Abstract: A stuffing box loosening device for loosening a locking collar securing a stuffing box to a well head. The device includes a rotatable clamping tool having a clamp securable to an external surface of the locking collar. The clamp prevents relative rotational movement between itself and the locking collar. A force-receiving body extends away from the clamp. A main frame has a mounting portion securable to the well head, and the mounting portion prevents relative rotational movement between the main frame and the well head. A force-supporting body is attached to the mounting portion. An actuator is mounted to the force-supporting body and in operation extends to displace a second end to engage the force-receiving body of the clamping tool and apply a force thereto. The force rotates the clamp to loosen the locking collar.

  • Patent number: 10356777
Abstract: Method and systems are disclosed for qualifying a wireless device as frequency hopping device. In some aspects, an access point (AP) may determine a frequency hopping pattern for the wireless device, and then allocate a sequence of unique resource units to the wireless device based on the frequency hopping pattern. Each of the unique resource units include a different set of frequency subcarriers. The AP may receive a series of uplink orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) transmissions from the wireless device on the allocated sequence of unique resource units.

  • Publication number: 20190124584
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for managing wireless local area network (WLAN) density. The WLAN density is managed to limit how many APs can utilize a first portion of a first frequency band in a geographical area. A limit of APs may be based on an estimated amount of interference that would be caused by the APs to an incumbent system that also uses the first portion of the frequency band. The WLAN density control may prevent the estimated amount of interference caused by APs in a geographical area from exceeding a threshold interference level based on the presence of the incumbent system. WLAN density control may involve the AP configuration of a first AP or may involve the density of client devices associated with one or more APs in the geographical area.
