  • Patent number: 11493048
Abstract: A labyrinth section for a submersible pump includes an outer housing having a coupling sealingly engaged at each longitudinal end of the outer housing. An inner tube is sealingly engaged at each end to one of the couplings to define a sealed annular space. A plurality of labyrinth tube sections are disposed in the annular space, each comprising labyrinth tubes engaged with end plates. A plurality of the labyrinth tube sections enable movement of fluid through the labyrinth tubes, spaces external to the labyrinth tubes and between the end plates to fill the annular space. One of the labyrinth tube sections constrains fluid to move only within the labyrinth tubes and wherein the inner tube between the end plates of the one of the labyrinth tubes comprises a fluid port into an interior of the inner tube.

  • Patent number: 7760635
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for controlling transmission latency in a communications system, wherein the communications system is subject to a noise signal having at least a first noise phase and a second noise phase. The method includes determining a first bit rate for symbols transmitted during the first noise phase, and a second bit rate for symbols transmitted during the second noise phase, the first bit rate and the second bit rate being constrained such that a transmission latency does not exceed a pre-determined maximum allowed transmission latency; and transmitting symbols at the first bit rate during the first noise phase and at the second bit rate during the second noise phase. In other variants, the invention provides an apparatus, a constrained rate reciever, a transmitter and a signal.

  • Publication number: 20070289546
Abstract: The purpose of this invention is to provide compositions useful for promoting the growth of calcareous organisms present in a closed system aquatic habitat. Particularly, to composition capable of efficiently delivering calcium and carbonate to the calcareous organisms. Most particularly, to a composition effective for enhanced delivery of aragonite to a closed system aquatic habitat where it dissociates into bioavailable supplements, such as, calcium, strontium, magnesium, and carbonate ions, whereby enhanced growth of the calcareous organisms is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7225756
Abstract: The invention relates to pet beds, and particularly with pet beds with a wall and a base encased in a fabric overcoat. Known pet beds have the disadvantage of needing a rimmed section to allow use by e.g., heavy dogs, and the further disadvantage that rimmed sections on walls formed from resilient materials generate high levels of waste. The object of the invention is to avoid this disadvantage, an objective met by a pet bed comprising a peripheral wall formed from a resilient material, the wall having a trapezium cross-sectional shape that diminishes in width from its upper to lower end.
