Abstract: A form-fill-seal packing apparatus of the flow wrapper type accepts individuated items via in-feed conveyor. Items are moved through horizontal open lower-sided forming tube 10 by resting indirectly on an underneath transit conveyor, through the underside part of a continuous film bag forming from a supply of film around the forming tube, using a forming shoulder. The bag is longitudinally sealed beside the forming tube. Data may be printed on an upper film surface over a platen including an upper part of the forming tube. An outfeed conveyor carries transversely sealed wrapped items on to a vacuum sealer.

Abstract: Method of and system for evaluating and annotating live or prerecorded activities, such as live or prerecorded public speaking. Evaluations and annotations may be generated in real-time while the activity is taking place or afterwards without the need for a video or audio recording, or may be generated while recording or watching a recording. The technique comprises a hierarchical multi-level menu of canned and/or custom comments, canned and/or custom detailed descriptions of comments, custom notes, supplemental informational content, and community-contributed content. The technique also comprises selecting, in response to user input, canned and/or custom comments from the menu, generating timestamped, color-coded annotations corresponding to the comments, and storing the annotations in a database without modifying the prerecorded activity file if any was played while evaluating. Annotations are displayed in real-time during the evaluation and can also be displayed during playback at a later time.

Abstract: In a data processing system having a main processor and a plurality of service processors providing service functions to the main processor, including a first service processor providing primary service functions and a second service processor providing secondary service functions. The main processor performs failure detection on the first processor, and upon the detection of a failure, initiates a switch between the first and the second service processors.
