  • Patent number: 7669555
Abstract: A self-cleaning pet litter box has a conveyor to incrementally transport clumped litter material and solid pet waste to a waste receptacle. The conveyor has one end configured to extend into a pet litter container of the self-cleaning litter box and an opposite exit end. The conveyor is configured for reciprocating movement to lift the clumped litter material and solid pet waste from below, transport it some distance along the conveyor, place the material down again, return to its original position, and repeat the motion again to incrementally move the material along the conveyor toward the exit end for subsequent disposal.

  • Publication number: 20080149036
Abstract: A self-cleaning pet litter box assembly for separation and removal of clumped material from clean litter material includes an open-top pet litter container for holding litter and being mounted for rotation on a substantially horizontal plane, a conveyor having an axis and an exit end, being positioned to extend into the container to contact litter within the container and rotating about the axis so as to separate clumped material from clean litter material and direct the separated-out clumped material away toward the exit end, and a drive mechanism operatively connected to at least one of the container and the conveyor to rotate the container.

  • Patent number: 6401661
Abstract: A self-cleaning pet litter box assembly automatically separates clumped material from unclumped pet litter and disposes of it. The assembly comprises an open-top pet litter container mounted for substantially horizontal rotation, a motor to rotate the container, and a stationary separating member positioned to extend into the container to contact pet litter within the container. The pet litter container rotates so that clumped and unclumped material in the container is moved into contact with the separating member. Clumped material is separated out by the separating member and directed away to a waste receptacle.

  • Patent number: 6234112
Abstract: A self-cleaning pet litter box assembly automatically separates clumped material from unclumped pet litter and disposes of it. The assembly comprises a base member, an open-top pet litter container rotatably mounted on the base member, a motor, a sieve member and a conveyor. The pet litter container is substantially filled with pet litter. It is for use by a pet, particularly a cat. The pet litter container rotates about the base member so that clumped and unclumped material in the container is moved into contact with the sieve member. Clumped material is separated out by the sieve and conveyed away to a waste receptacle. The waste receptacle must be periodically emptied or replaced with another waste receptacle, but typically only about once a week.

  • Patent number: 5292166
Abstract: A hood protective shield for use on a front portion of a motor vehicle's hood protects against insects and road debris damage. The shield comprises a main body member, a lip member extending therefrom and a set of spacers attached to the underside of the main body member. The main body member is shaped to fit the contour of the front portion of the hood and extends laterally substantially fully across the hood and extends longitudinally partially from a front edge thereof. The lip member wraps around the edge of the hood to engage an underside of the hood and hold the shield in a semi-permanent, though secure fashion to the hood.
