  • Patent number: 4386813
Abstract: A ground contact strip for use in a current tap comprises an elongated planar member having at least one D shaped arcuate loop integrally formed at a front end with the vertical arm of said D loop movably positioned within a slot in said planar member, with the vertical arm of said D loop having an inwardly extending projection for coacting with a ground plug inserted into said loop, and a front D shaped loop of the same configuration integrally formed near the other end of said planar member for also receiving a ground plug of either a U shaped or round configuration.

  • Patent number: 3998517
Abstract: A multiple outlet connector cordset provides a plurality of three-wire receptacles connected to a single three-wire electrical line. Two or three outlets having locking or straight contacts are connected in parallel. The wires from the outlets are connected through sliding detachable terminals to blades extending from a plurality of parallel longitudinal connecting strips or bus bars. The strips are mounted within a premold rectangular support and have additional blades on the opposite side which connect through further terminals to the input wires. The premold and terminals hold the elements in position for a final molding operation. The entire assembly of receptacles, contacts, and wires, terminals, strips and rectangular premold is molded into a single integral outer insulation cover.

  • Patent number: 3945708
Abstract: A locking receptacle for electrical connectors includes a premold which holds the wire contacts in position and prevents insulation from overflowing into the contacts during molding. The premold is a cylindrical form of rigid high melting point thermoplastic insulating material having differently shaped passages and slots for a plurality of female contacts and connecting leads and includes an end closure member. The elements are assembled together, mounted in a mold and overmolded with a lower melting point resilient insulation covering in a simplified molding process to form an integral water-tight unit.

  • Patent number: 3940228
Abstract: A molded plastic fixture holds an end of a telephone wire cord wound on a mandrel to retain the cord in position during subsequent heat processing. The mandrel fits into a bore in the fixture and an angled arm extending from one side holds a band spacer and strain relief member at the end of the cord. An opposite side of the fixture includes a channel to receive cords with no strain relief member. A manually adjustable screw clamps the end of the mandrel within the bore of the fixture.
