  • Publication number: 20240131330
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are provided for transcutaneously delivering energy impulses to bodily tissues for therapeutic purposes, such as for enhancing the body's bone healing process in spinal fusion patients. A therapeutic stimulator system comprises a housing for an energy source and a signal generator. The system further includes one or more electrodes coupled to the signal generator. A processor is coupled to the housing and configured to determine usage levels of the signal generator and/or motion data of the housing. The system may include a mobile device that allows the patient to input user status data, such as pain levels, and compare the user status data with the usage levels and/or the motion data, thereby improving patient compliance with a prescribed therapy regimen.

  • Patent number: 7433141
Abstract: A data recording/recovery device (20) comprises a packet generator (34) for including recordable information into a packet (44), the packet initially having a nominal run length limited (RLL) sequence if it were RLL encoded. A randomizer (38) uses a randomizer input value (50) to obtain a modified packet (46) which, when encoded, will at least partially have a different run length limited sequence than the nominal run length limited sequence. A write channel (40) records the modified packet (46) as a track packet at a destination physical location (42) on a storage medium (22). The randomizer input value (50) used to obtain the modified packet (46) is related to a predetermined physical location on the storage medium. In one example embodiment the randomizer input value is related to the destination physical location on the storage medium.

  • Patent number: 6367047
Abstract: A multi-level error correction technique for maintaining data integrity in a data recording/recovery device is presented. Data is stored in buffer packets in a segment of a data buffer before being recorded to a storage medium. Error correction codes are generated over a plurality of instances of a plurality of buffer packet patterns in the segment, and are recorded along with all of the buffer packets onto a storage medium. During data recovery from the storage medium, recovered error correction code packets are used to perform multi-level segment correction on the recovered data packets.
