  • Patent number: 10780853
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a transmission for a powered vehicle. The transmission includes a housing defining an interior of the transmission and a fluid supply portion disposed in the housing. The fluid supply portion is configured to supply fluid throughout the transmission. The transmission also includes a first fluid circuit disposed within the housing and defining a first fluid path in fluid communication with the fluid supply portion. A second fluid circuit fluidly defines a second fluid path in fluid communication with the fluid supply portion. The transmission further includes a coupling mechanism for fluidly coupling the first fluid circuit and second fluid circuit, wherein the second fluid circuit is disposed outside the housing of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 4922164
Abstract: An eccentric motion motor includes a hollow cylindrical stator in which is positioned a cylindrical armature in rolling engagement with the stator. Elongate conductive strips are disposed in the inside wall of the hollow of the stator to extend substantially the length thereof, with the strips being circumferentially spaced about the stator hollow. The conductive strips are coupled to a commutator voltage source which applies a voltage to successive ones of the conductive strips to produce an electrostatic force which attracts the armature and causes it to roll in the hollow of the stator. The armature may be made either of a conductive material or a dielectric material.

  • Patent number: 4789803
Abstract: A system and method for controlling the position and movement of an object in up to six desired degrees of freedom. The system comprises an armature which is provided with a distribution of electric charge. The armature may also include one or more magnetized regions. The system further comprises a base having components that may be actively controlled so as to cause a force to be exerted on the electric charge distribution of the armature. By appropriately controlling the components of the base, the position and movement of the armature with respect to the base can be selectively controlled. The base may also include passive electric and/or magnetic components which assist in stabilizing the armature in one or more degrees of freedom. In addition, the base may be provided with position sensors which provide position information to control circuitry such that the position and movement of the armature with respect to the base can be controlled automatically.

  • Patent number: 4434815
Abstract: Apparatus is described for insertion into a branch pipe to cut an aperture in a liner provided within the main pipe for repairing the latter. The apparatus has a body together with a cutting device and a clamping member (e.g. an inflatable sleeve) both supported by the body. Means are provided for actuating the clamping member so that it presses against the inside of the branch pipe and jams the body in a fixed position within the branch pipe. The cutting device may be advanced relative to the body, to cut an aperture in the liner. Also described is an inflatable plug which may be used to provide a seal so that a grouting operation may be performed without grout being able to escape into the branch pipe or into the interior of the liner.

  • Patent number: 4336135
Abstract: An apparatus for anaerobically treating waste to allow the waste to be safely disposed of and/or to reclaim useful gas therefrom. The apparatus includes a tank, a cylinder positioned within the tank to divide the tank into first and second areas, and media such as stones or the like positioned within the first and second areas of the tank for supporting anaerobic bacteria growth. Liquid waste is introduced into the first area of the tank over the media therein. As the waste flows through the media, the waste will be partially treated and methane gas or nitrogen gas will be formed or reclaimed therefrom. As more waste is introduced into the first area of the tank over the media therein, waste that has passed through the media in the first area will be forced upward through the media in the second area where it is further treated. Waste that has passed upwardly through the media in the second area of the tank is removed from the apparatus.
