  • Patent number: 5267868
Abstract: A shielded electrical connector assembly includes a dielectric body, a terminal mounted on the body and a conductive shield about the body. The body is overmolded about a plate-like ground plane which has wings projecting outwardly of the body. The shield has slots into which the wings of the ground plane are inserted to thereby facilitate mounting the body in the shield and conductively coupling the ground plane with the shield.

  • Patent number: 4686771
Abstract: Gyrocompassing apparatus for stationary equipment is disclosed which provides heading and two-axis tilt information while utilizing a minimum complement of relatively low cost components. The apparatus features a single degree of freedom gyroscope mounted to a mechanical levelling and indexing arrangement for implementing a gyrocompassing routine. Tilt information is provided with relatively high accuracy via a two-axis pendulum mechanization. A microprocessor with associated peripherals provides required control, compensation and computational functions.

  • Patent number: 4383452
Abstract: A transfer mechanism can rotate a gyroscopic device about its spin axis. The mechanism has a support that rotatably supports the gyroscopic device. This mechanism also has restraint apparatus for holding the gyroscopic device in one of two angularly displaced positions. The mechanism includes also a driver such as a stepper motor for driving the gyroscopic device between the two angularly displaced positions. In one embodiment the input axis of a gyroscope is moveable between a vertical and horizontal position to change the mode of operation from direction finding to north seeking, respectively.
