  • Publication number: 20220267064
Abstract: In some embodiments, systems and methods for a tamper-resistant securing device for use with a closeable container include a housing assembly, a lock member, and an identifier. The housing assembly can be configured to be moved from a sealed configuration to an unsealed configuration. The lock member can be at least partially enclosed within the housing assembly and the lock member can be configured to be moved between an unlocked orientation and a locked orientation. The identifier can be accessible when the lock member is in the locked orientation. The housing assembly and the lock member are configured to inhibit or permit movement of the lock member based on the sealed or unsealed configuration of the housing assembly.

  • Patent number: 8763484
Abstract: Certain embodiments provide a breakaway drive system that includes an actuator, an actuator breakaway, a shaft breakaway and a drive shaft. The actuator breakaway is operably connected to the actuator and is configured to rotate when the actuator is displaced. The shaft breakaway includes a breakaway mechanism for disengagingly connecting the actuator breakaway to the shaft breakaway. The shaft breakaway rotates in unison with the actuator breakaway when the shafts are operably engaged and does not rotate in unison with the actuator breakaway when the shafts are disengaged. The drive shaft is operably connected to the shaft breakaway such that rotation of the shaft breakaway causes rotation of the drive shaft. An external force on the drive shaft that exceeds a threshold causes rotation of the shaft breakaway such that the breakaway mechanism disengages the shaft breakaway and the actuator breakaway.

  • Patent number: 8562156
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mirror and mirror system which can be used in connection with large vehicles, such as school buses, to provide the driver of such vehicles with the ability to view the entire side of the vehicle. While such vehicles currently include side view mirrors attached to the front of the vehicle, these mirrors contain blind spots, such as the area immediately in front of the rear wheel of the vehicle. The current invention overcomes such blind spots by attaching a second mirror to the rear portion of the vehicle that provides a forward view from the rear of the vehicle, including a view of such blind spots. Such front and rear mirrors may be aligned so that the view of the rear mirror is portrayed within the view of the front mirror. As such, the present invention provides the driver with a complete view of the passenger side of the vehicle.
