  • Patent number: 8615937
Abstract: A dance floor and a method of assembly of the dance floor are disclosed. The dance floor contains a plurality of interconnecting frames, each containing intersecting elongated panels, trim panels, wiring embedded inside channels disposed on the bottom of the elongated panels that are connected to electrical connectors, electrical receptors and ribbon lights. An electrical controller produces a chase pattern where strings of adjacent light bulbs cycle on and off to give the illusion of lights moving along the string. The dance floor is manufactured of lightweight materials and is configured for easy in situ assembly, installation and disassembly.

  • Publication number: 20110037584
Abstract: A shut off safety device and method for reducing accidental activation of electrically controlled devices in a vehicle such as awnings, electrically controlled jacks, electrically controlled brakes in a towed RV is described and claimed. Instead of the electrically controlled device being deactivated based on the memory of a human to do a safety shut off device comprising a controller that is automatically activated in response to an act occurring within that or a second vehicle associated with said first vehicle, to provide a shutdown signal, a RF receiver responsive to the activation of the controller to provide a second signal, and an electrical means associated with said electrically activated and operated device said electrical means being responsive to said second signal to shut down and de-energize said device until reactivated by an operator of said vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6935923
Abstract: A magnetoresistive read head has read head layers that are shaped to form an air bearing surface and a sensor stripe cavity with an open side at the air bearing surface. A sensor stripe is deposited in the sensor stripe cavity. The sensor stripe has a front surface that is set back from the air bearing surface to define an encapsulation cavity extending from the front surface to the air bearing surface. An encapsulation layer is deposited in the encapsulation cavity. The encapsulation layer encapsulates the front surface.

  • Patent number: 4228965
Abstract: The assembly for winding yarn on a thread package comprises electrically operated friction drive means and electrically operated axial drive means. The mandrel tube which carries the bobbin tube and the thread package is frictionally driven. The mandrel itself is axially driven by the electrically operated axial drive means. The friction drive and the axial drive are effective to operate in tandem. The friction drive comprises a synchronous motor. The axial drive includes a three-phase a.c. motor, a reluctance motor, or a d.c. motor.

  • Patent number: 4221522
Abstract: A vertical magazine well accommodates a plurality of magazines lying on each other so that they can move downwardly under the action of gravity. Each magazine accommodates a plurality of strip-like workpieces at predetermined intervals above each other and which at a withdrawal or loading station level can be withdrawn from or inserted into the magazine by displacement in a longitudinal direction. Accommodated in the magazine well is a pair of cylindrical drums having vertical axes about which they are rotated in synchronism with each other by a step-drive mechanism. The surface of each drum has a helical array of pins projecting radially therefrom and which can be projected in turn into the vertical path of movement of a magazine in the magazine well. Initially, a magazine is supported by the uppermost pins of the helical arrays of the two drums and in this position the lowermost strip-like member in the magazine can be withdrawn from (or loaded into) the magazine at the loading station.

  • Patent number: 4221533
Abstract: A rotary pickup arm transfers objects from a fixed pickup station to a fixed deposition station during a first part of a work cycle and is returned to the pickup station during a second part of the work cycle. The pickup arm is carried by a head having a support mounted on an X-Y table movable relative to the pickup and deposition station by step motors along X and Y axes perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the pickup arm. The X-Y table can be adjustably displaced by predetermined amounts along the X and/or Y axes during the first part of the working cycle to place an object accurately at a desired location at the deposition station and displaced by an equal and opposite amount during the second part of the working cycle to pick up a further object from the pickup station.

  • Patent number: 4053096
Abstract: A thermocompression welding device including a welding head having two tools for automatically and simultaneously effecting welds between a connecting wire and a pair of contact areas, one on a semiconductor chip and one on a housing for the chip. The weld head is transversed between consecutive weld positions using an X-Y table. The apparatus provides automatic adjustment of connecting wire length, and matched automatic adjustment of weld head separation, corresponding to different contact area spacings and automatic orientation of the welding head to correspond to different orientations of the pairs of contact areas. Preprogrammed lengths of wire are fed to the welding head from a continuous coil and bent into position for simultaneous engagement by both welding tools, the wire being severed adjacent one of the welds immediately following each welding operation.
