  • Patent number: 11939597
Abstract: This invention relates to modified parvovirus inverted terminal repeats (ITRs) that do not functionally interact with wild-type large Rep proteins, synthetic Rep proteins that functionally interact with the modified ITRs, and methods of using the same for delivery of nucleic acids to a cell or a subject. The modifications provide a novel Rep-ITR interaction that limits vector mobilization, increasing the safety of viral vectors.

  • Publication number: 20230254914
Abstract: Network slicing allows a network operator to divide up their network into different network slices. The operator can assign specific users or classes of users to 5 each slice. Network functions (NFs) comprising a network slice may be placed in different locations in a network (for example, nearer the network edge), may be configured or tuned for different traffic profiles, and/or may be implemented by different vendors from those in other slices. A network, configured to perform network slicing, receives information from a Session Management Function, SMF, relating to a 10 given packet data session belonging to a given network slice. Based on the information received from the SMF, the network signals to a UPF instance that the given packet data session belongs to the given network slice.

  • Publication number: 20220183085
Abstract: In one aspect, a control plane Interworking Function (IWF-C) is used to establish a Packet Data Unit (PDU) session in a data communications network. A create session request is received, for example from a Mobile Management Entity (MME). A create session management context request is generated by the IWF-C and transmitted to a Session Management Function (SMF). A create session management context request response is received from the SMF. A create session request response is generated by the IWF-C and sent, for example to the MME. In other aspects, control plane policy interworking and user plane interworking is provided between components of 4G and 5G networks.

  • Patent number: 10244112
Abstract: A network function operable in a communication network, in which the network function is configured to receive a call setup request from an emergency service to set up a call between the emergency service and a user terminal, the received call setup request comprising a called party identifier. The network function determines whether the called party identifier is of a first type or of a second, different type, wherein the first type of called party identifier comprises a dialable number temporarily associated with the user terminal for use in receiving a call from the emergency service. In response to determining that the called party identifier is of the first type, the network function transmits priority indication data to a further network function in the communication network in order to cause the further network function to prioritize handling of the call between the emergency service and the user terminal.

  • Patent number: 9467375
Abstract: At a migration server separate from a first server, a plurality of incoming internet protocol, IP, packets directed at an IP address associated with an IP service are received. On the basis of one or more source characteristics associated with IP packets in the plurality, it is determined that a first subset of packets in the plurality originated from one or more client devices which have not been migrated to a second server and that a second subset in the plurality originated from one or more client devices which have been migrated to the second server. IP packets determined to be in the first subset are forwarded to a first physical address associated with the first server for processing at the first server. IP packets determined to be in the second subset are processed at the second server.

  • Publication number: 20020030647
Abstract: An active matrix display and method of driving the same is provided. The active matrix display comprises an array of pixels, each pixel including an organic light emitting device and at least one thin film transistor. A uniformity correction circuit that is capable of producing a selected pixel brightness is connected to the array of pixels. The uniformity correction circuit is capable of maintaining the brightness of the pixels in a range that does not vary, for example, by more than about 5-10% from their selected brightness values.

  • Patent number: 6278429
Abstract: A driving circuit for a reflective bistable cholesteric liquid crystal display which includes one substrate having a plurality of column or segment electrodes opposed by another substrate having a plurality of row or common electrodes. The intersecting column and row electrodes with the cholesteric material therebetween form a plurality of pixels. The driving circuit selectively applies a voltage to the row and column electrodes to control the appearance of the cholesteric material. In particular, the driving circuit includes at least one common driver coupled to respective common electrodes with each common driver having a first and a second common frame switch with corresponding high or low inputs. The first and second common frame switches are linked to one another by a common frame line.
