  • Publication number: 20160175151
Abstract: Implants and methods for treating ocular disorders are provided. One method involves introducing an implant into an anterior chamber of an eye. The implant is implanted into eye tissue adjacent the anterior chamber such that a proximal end of the implant resides in the anterior chamber following implantation. A therapeutic agent is eluted from the implant into the eye. Desirably, the release of the therapeutic agent from the implant is controlled. The controlled release of the therapeutic agent can be at a chosen rate and/or for a selected duration which can be episodic or periodic. The therapeutic agent can be an antiproliferative agent, an anti-inflammatory drug, or a compound for treating glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

  • Publication number: 20160045743
Abstract: An apparatus and method for electrical charge balancing when generating a stimulus during functional neural stimulation is presented. A stimulus pulse is generated (cathodic or anodic), and after a selected delay a charge compensating pulse is generated of an opposite polarity. The electrode circuit discontinuously examines electrode voltage after termination of the stimulus pulse, and utilizes this voltage to determine how long to extend the width of the charge compensating pulse. The electrode circuit thus performs accurate electrical charge cancellation to remove residual charges from the electrode by precisely controlling pulse width for an opposing polarity compensating pulse that need not have the same current level as the stimulus pulse.

  • Publication number: 20150374546
Abstract: Drainage of body fluid from an area of undesirably high pressure can be accomplished by interconnecting an artificial non-blood fluid conduit with the vascular system. For example, an artificial non-blood fluid conduit can be inserted into the eye to fluidly interconnect the anterior chamber with a location of lower pressure. The conduit can have a growth factor for stimulating growth of new blood vessels in the location of lower pressure to connect the new blood vessels with the non-blood fluid conduit.

  • Patent number: 8726277
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for domain controller safety-features and cloning. Embodiments include cloning virtual domain controllers. Cloning permits virtual domain controllers to be rapidly deployed by copying/cloning the entire operating system state of an existing virtual domain controller. Other embodiments provide safety features protecting domain controllers running within virtual machines from introducing distributed corruption into a directory services data system. Protection is facilitated by detecting when a hypervisor or Virtual Machine Manager (“VMM”) uses features that cause a virtual machine to be rolled back in time outside of an operating system's awareness. In response to detecting a feature that causes rollback, safeties can be implemented to compensate for otherwise divergent state and prevent the introduction of duplicate unique identifiers.
