  • Publication number: 20080013640
Abstract: A multi-dimensional Burst Link Access Streaming Transmission (BLAST) architecture, which provides flexible physical apparatus for balanced performance of data throughput, latency, and reliability of transmission (e.g. graceful degradation). A schedule is sent from a master node to alert targeted nodes regarding messages to be sent. The master node uses a P-Band transmission link operating a regular intervals to synchronize the system in preparation for receipt of a message over a synchronous link. Each node has the capability of sending and receiving synchronous and asynchronous messages.

  • Publication number: 20070235106
Abstract: An adjustment assembly for raising and lowering a rotary cutter includes a table plate, a carriage assembly there below for supporting the rotary cutter and a lift handle which mounts on the carriage assembly and extends above the table plate to provide rapid manual raising and lowering of the carriage assembly. The carriage assembly is mounted on a support assembly and is disengageable therefrom to allow the rapid raising and lowering. Preferably, the lift handle is insertable through an opening in the table plate and into an opening in the carriage assembly and rotatable to disengage an engaging member of the carriage assembly from the support assembly via a camming engagement. A vertical adjustment mechanism for finely adjusting the carriage assembly height may include an adjusting screw which the engaging member engages for fine vertical adjustment and disengages for rapid vertical adjustment.

  • Patent number: 6973205
Abstract: To increase the scratch resistance of a surface passivation, in particular, for fingerprint sensors, a antifrictional layer is applied to reduce the shearing forces. The antifrictional layer includes fat, oil, surfactants and/or wax. The antifrictional layer is preferably an emulsion including water, paraffin oil, propylene glycol, stearic acid, palmitic acid, TEA, beeswax, carbormer 954, methylparaben, propylparaben and possibly perfume.

  • Patent number: 6117235
Abstract: A machine and method for coating food or other product with a coating material may include a product conveyor belt and at least one roller assembly positioned to cooperate with the conveyor and accept product discharged therefrom. The roller assembly may include a roller and plate which are positioned adjacent one another and define a space therebetween. Products introduced to the roller assembly are pressed between the roller and plate to press the coating material into the product, thereby maximizing percentage pick up of the coating on the product. Additionally, the outer surface of the roller is configured to produce surface characteristics or textures in the coating material which are desired. Different surface characteristics or textures can be created by varying the outer surface configuration or by rotating the roller at a different speed relative to the plate.

  • Patent number: 4827794
Abstract: A window crank handle extension adapter for a motor vehicle is provided and consists of a spacer member that will allow the crank handle to extend away from a speaker mounted within a door panel of the motor vehicle so that a person can turn the crank handle without hitting the cover of the speaker.
