  • Publication number: 20150150079
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for observing and intercepting network activity for network data resources passing through one or more network security apparatuses and updating configuration of said apparatuses to control the network activity from one or more network computing devices.

  • Publication number: 20070289346
Abstract: An electromechanical locking mechanism provides a plug with a rekeyable primary lock mechanism such as a tumbler stack, an electromechanical operator such as a solenoid or a motor, and an electronic circuit having a memory, or an electronic memory and an electronic logic stage, controlling activitiation and operation of the electromechanical operator, contained entirely within the plug. Insertion of a blade of a key that is properly profiled and bitted to correctly displace the primary lock assembly relative to a cylinder encasing the plug, and application by the key of electrical power, or of electrical power and a correct data signal, to the electronic circuit, will cause activation of the electrical operator and repositioning of a distal member of the operator relative to the cylinder, and thereby enable torque manually applied to the blade of the key to rotate the plug within the cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20070171060
Abstract: A process and security container that enable local protection and remote transportation of items found with the environment of a contemporary office, while generating a log of users who have gained access to the container. The container may be constructed with one or more sidewalls bearing a removable lid. The container may have a closed interior while the lid is in complete engagement with the sidewalls, and have an open interior able to removably receive items within the interior while the lid is dislodged from its complete engagement. A port is exposed through one of said sidewalls to receive data signals and a control stage with a non-volatile a memory, is mounted within the container and operationally coupled to a host computer to provide communication with the interior of the container via the port. A microprocessor based host computer sited externally to the container, has a keyboard initiating formation of the data signals and a monitor driven by the host computer to visually display video images.

  • Publication number: 20020004830
Abstract: A system and method for providing data analysis tools in a distributed environment, such as the Internet. The method commences by receiving a service request from a client. Typically, the service request includes input data for submission to a requested analysis tool. A job is then created to provide a job identifier and the input data in a suitable format, such as XML, for transmission to a service provider hosting the requested analysis tool. Information relating to the job is stored in a database, and the job is then dispatched to an agent for delivery to the service provider hosting the requested analysis tool. Once processed by the service provider, the job results are returned to the agent, integrated to retrieve the output data, and the output data is transmitted to the client.

  • Patent number: 5775148
Abstract: An apparatus for use with electronic and/or mechanical access control devices includes a holder which receives a removable insert which may include an electronic module with a cover member securing the insert to the holder. The holder may take various forms and may be in the form of a key ring, photo I.D. card, etc. The holder may be a key blank for forming a key that operates mechanical locks, in which case the insert may be a dummy insert or it may include electronic components for operating various types of electronic access control devices. A method of upgrading a key for operating a mechanical lock to a key for also operating an electronic access device is provided and involves replacing the insert in the key with an insert containing electronic components. The electronic components may utilize various technologies such as proximity-based access control.
