  • Patent number: 7565414
Abstract: Embodiments of the systems and methods provide automated transfer of files between a client computer and a server computer in a networked environment. The file transfer system provides secure data communication using file encryption and decryption techniques. In addition, the file transfer system can automatically translate files to and from various formats as required without user intervention or action. Files can be transferred by drag and drop file operations, scheduled for predetermined times or intervals, or upon the occurrence of user-defined events. In some embodiments, the file transfer system transfers files between a server computer for a bank website and a client computer of a bank customer having an account at the bank.

  • Patent number: 5249242
Abstract: Briefly, the invention provides a method of enhancing pixel data from a raster image to improve the appearance of the rendered image by modifying morphological artifacts which normally occur in raster image systems. The method commences by applying a window to a portion of the raster pixel data from the raster images to define a block of raster pixel data having a predetermined area. The pattern of the block of raster data within the window is then compared with a plurality of predetermined patterns representing morphological artifacts. A determination is made from the comparison whether a substantial match exists between the block of raster data within the window and one or more of the plurality of predetermined patterns. In the event of a match the block of raster data is modified to provide an enhanced block of raster pixel data free of said morphological artifacts.

  • Patent number: 5075875
Abstract: A control system coupled with a laser printer to enhance and expand the capabilities of the printer. A microprocessor with memory components having different functions is coupled between a host computer and the raster image processor of the printer through appropriate interfaces. Bidirectional communication is afforded between the hose and the microprocessor, as well as between the printer and the microprocessor. The system has an audit trail feature which enables the printer to provide security when generating financial forms and negotiable instruments such as checks. The system also has means to facilitate external updating of its control code without changing any hardware on the board.

  • Patent number: 5030977
Abstract: Magnetic signal level control apparatus for a printer or copier. A continuous sampling of the magnetic characteristics of a reference mark results in constantly adjusting to maintain the specified quality of magnetically readable characters on printed documents. A controller generates a signal which is applied to the developer of the printer to control application of magnetic ink or toner to the photoconductor and consequently to the paper. The invention also includes the method for controlling magnetic signal level.
