    Abstract: A remote motor vehicle signal indicator system comprising a transmitter coupled to a vehicle indication signal drive line. The transmitter wirelessly transmits a receiver activation signal corresponding to a vehicle indication signal of the vehicle indication signal drive line. Optionally, the transmitter may be configured to bypass transmission of a brake signal to a remote vehicle signal indicator in order to conserve power at the remote vehicle signal indicator. The vehicle indication signal is selected may comprise a turn signal, a brake signal, a reverse gear signal, and a hazard signal or any other signal displayable on a vehicle. The system also includes a remote vehicle signal indicator coupled to a surface outside of the vehicle and includes a signal indicator display.

    Abstract: A portable parking mat and berm of modular construction which allows easy assembly and assures secure retention of liquids dripping from the undersurface of a vehicle. The four edges of a flexible rectangular sheet are individually supported a desired minimum distance above the surface of a garage floor through the use of modular structures installed in end-to-end alignment. One-piece integral side structures are quickly located in alignment along the lateral edges of the sheet and installed through the employment of interengaging parts that secure the flexible sheeting therebetween. Similar structures may be used at the head end, while at the entrance end two-piece modular structures are provided that provide sloping front and rear ramp surfaces designed to support the weight of a vehicle passing thereover while resisting any shifting movement upon their engagement by the tires of the vehicle.

    Abstract: An adjustable, rotatable boot-binding mount (20) includes a swivel plate (40) having threaded mounting holes (24) therein to which a conventional boot binding (60) or boot may be mounted. The swivel plate (40) is rotatably retained within a base plate (30) which is securely fastened to the top surface of a snowboard (10) or other recreational board. During normal use, the swivel plate (40) is automatically and continuously locked against rotation within the base plate (30), thereby securely maintaining the boot binding in a desired angular position relative to the snowboard. At other times, e.g., while standing in lift lines or riding a lift, a quick release mechanism (27, 48) allows the swivel plate to be temporarily unlocked so that a different angular position of the swivel plate (and hence a different angular position of the boot binding or boot) relative to the snowboard may be quickly and easily realized.

    Abstract: A removable hood ornament is created in a manner which renders it virtually impervious to the wearing and corrosive action of time. A stock hood ornament and ornament seat element are both milled slightly. A shaft which will seat in a socket mounted on the underside of the vehicle hood is inserted up through the seat. The shaft has a threaded bifurcated top with a transverse bore therethrough which straddles the standard tongue of the ornament, with a pin passing through the bore of the shaft and through the mounting hole in the tongue to engage the shaft and tongue together. A threaded washer previously rotated onto the top of shaft is now tightened up against the underside of the ornament seat at a relatively high torque, which bends the pin and frictionally engages all of the parts together under sufficient force that for all practical purposes they will never come apart unless deliberately separated.

    Abstract: A Mercedes Benz hood ornament structure is modified to include an alarm actuator switch connected to the vehicle horn. The spring-loaded restraint which holds the hood ornament element in its upright position is affixed with a sliding contact which rises into contact with a fixed contact when the hood ornament is deflected forwardly. The two contacts are wired into the horn circuit so that the horn is actuated when the ornament element is deflected forwardly, and the geometry of the mounting for the hood element is such that deflections rearwardly and sideways, such as might occur by accident or in a car wash, will not actuate the horn.
