Abstract: A method for measuring in-store media exposure includes an initial step of providing a cart to a customer and that includes an emitting device. As the customer moves the cart around a store, which also includes a plurality of advertising displays, cart location data is collected. At a point of sale terminal or checkout locations, customer identification data is obtained from the customer and is associated with the cart location data to thereby measure an effectiveness of the advertising displays in modifying purchasing behavior of the customer. Systems for measuring such in-store media exposure are also provided and comprise a plurality of carts having emitting devices, a plurality of advertising displays positioned around a store with each advertising display including a reading device configured to record cart and time data, and a central computer configured to receive the data and measure the effectiveness of the advertising displays.

Abstract: Various methods and apparatus to detect red eye in a digital image are described. In an embodiment, a method identifies one or more red eye candidate zones within an identified skin region in a digital image. A first red eye candidate zone includes connected regions of pixels of a different color in the digital image than their natural color and exceeds a minimum size. The first red eye candidate zone is determined to be an actual red eye by comparing a red eye candidate score to a detection threshold value.

Abstract: Various methods and apparatus for multi-level red eye correction in a digital image are described. In an embodiment, a method receives an input that identifies an actual red eye in a digital image and a red eye candidate score associated with the actual red eye. The red eye candidate score of the actual red eye exceeds a detection threshold value. The method corrects the coloration of the actual red eye with a level of correction based on the red eye candidate score.

Abstract: A pallet truck for lifting and transporting pallets. The truck is moved by a self-propelled carriage having two wheels. Each wheel is propelled by a separate direct current electric motor, the motors being wired in series, so as to automatically adjust the speed of the respective wheels during turning.

Abstract: Polymer compositions containing as a pigment a compound having the formula: ##STR1## in the pigmentary form in which it has an orange-red color and has an X chromaticity co-ordinate of from 0.59 to 0.63 and a Y chromaticity of from 0.33 to 0.36, each as hereinbefore defined.
