  • Patent number: 5403081
Abstract: A tote bin cooler for a produce filled tote bin to facilitate the handling, cooling and display of bulk shipped fresh produce at the point of sale. The tote bin cooler includes a refrigerated cabinet having an open side, provided with a removable closure, for receiving a produce filled tote bin supported on a pallet jack. A motor driven strap is connectable to the filled tote bin for pulling the produce filled bin off the pallet and into the cabinet. The tote bin is provided with a false or movable bottom engageable by an elevator mechanism positioned in the cooler for maintaining the level of the produce in the bin at a position near the top of the bin, so that the customer can see the produce when walking by the display area and can easily reach the produce in the bin.

  • Patent number: 5027548
Abstract: An apparatus providing a tunnel-way for mice along a vertical surface including a first entrance way into a tunnel chamber having a flared open wall portion, the inner wall of which makes contact with a vertical surface. The walls forming a tunneling entrance into the tunnel-way. The tunnel-way is positioned intermediate the first and second entrance portions into the tunnel, so that a mouse would encounter the flared entrances to the tunnel-way and move into the tunnel from either direction. The tunnel further comprises material along its interior surface to make contact with the pelt of the mouse, as it moves therethrough. The interior material is provided with a toxic dust introduced into the tunnel which adheres to the material and is deposited onto the mouse as it moves therethrough. To introduce dust, a first open end of the tunnel is secured with a stopper, and dust shaken into the tunnel.

  • Patent number: 5027395
Abstract: A data-locking system for generating an application, includes a data entry device, a video display screen, a storage medium, and a system for locking data in the storage medium. The video display screen allows for the display of inputted information in a predetermined application format comprising an integrated arrangement of critical and non-critical data fields. The data-locking system has circuitry for generating first and second records from the inputted information, as well as circuitry for generating a unique generator key number for encrypting the first record and circuitry for generating a data-lock code number and a time stamp number. When using the data-locking system, the inputted information in the critical data fields of the predetermined application format, once data-locked, cannot be changed.

  • Patent number: 4911356
Abstract: A package in the form of a tray, carton or case has at least a base, side walls and end walls, a support formed by two panels positioned within the package, one adjacent each of end walls, or side walls, protrusions, and/or recesses on each panel of a size so that with the packages positioned in a stack, vertically adjacent protrusions and/or recesses are in contact without substantial compression of the packaging material positioned between vertically adjacent panels, and positioned apertures in the package to receive protrusions. The package in a preferred form also includes lugs provided at each corner of one face, the lugs being angled and the package also having corresponding cut-outs so that in a vertical stack the lugs of one package are positioned in the cut-outs of a vertically adjacent package.
