  • Patent number: 8269592
Abstract: A transformer includes a magnetic core through which an insulated electrical first conductor extends to define a turn of winding. The first conductor is tubular, in that it defines a generally axial aperture. A plurality of electrically insulated conductive windings are twisted together to form a bundle, or a pair if only two. The bundle extends through the axial aperture, to define at least an additional turn of winding. The individual conductors of the bundle are stripped of insulation at locations without the aperture of the first conductor.

  • Patent number: 7508338
Abstract: An element support and thermal control arrangement for an active array antenna, preferably modular, using line-replaceable units (LRUs), includes a radiating-side liquid-cooled cold plate lying parallel with a liquid-cooled TR coldplate. Antenna elements are supported and cooled by the radiating cold plate, and a beamformer lies between the radiating and TR coldplates. A plurality of column coldplates are attached to the rear of the TR coldplate and define bays or volumes in which power LRUs can be fitted in thermal communication with the TR coldplate, the column coldplates, or both.

  • Patent number: 4464987
Abstract: Refuse delivered into an elevatable pivoted dumping bin is transferred by gravity and by the operation of a positive pusher element into a hopper bin above and in communication with a horizontal axis ram compactor. The hopper bin/ram compactor unit is interfaced with a large volume refuse transporting container which is removed to a refuse dumping site periodically. The system is capable of on-site operation for extended periods of time with minimal operator attendance. The system assures a substantially trash-free environment.

  • Patent number: 4289068
Abstract: A high volume refuse compacting apparatus utilizes a commercial horizontal axis ram compactor as a base and upon this unit are mounted in tandem relationship a relatively stationary hopper bin and a coacting power-operated pivotal dumping bin which is elevated to a steep angle to feed the hopper bin with refuse by gravity action. A bottom opening of the hopper bin is in registry with a provided opening in the compactor unit above the ram thereof. Corresponding side walls of the hopper and dumping bins are made shallow to facilitate side loading of the apparatus. A scissoring action of the side walls of the hopper and dumping bins substantially eliminates refuse spillage.
