The strain relief is provided by a strain relief member, typically elastic material, within the connection member that is permanently secured to the article of luggage and is intended to be manually connected to the removable carrying strap.

Abstract: A wheeled article of luggage, which has a catalog case, is disclosed which includes an externally accessible auxiliary pocket configured for the reception of a laptop computer. The auxiliary pocket may also be accessed from the interior of the case, with the exterior, and interior access means being orthognally related, such that they will both be in a horizontal position when the catalog case is in either the wheeled, or stationary, open condition.

Abstract: A combination article of luggage seat unit is disclosed, in which the seat unit may be completely separated from the luggage when it is desired to use the seat and when in its storage condition is compactly contained within an auxiliary compartment of the article of luggage. The seat unit may also be used while it is connected to the luggage, with a portion of the luggage re-positioned to provide a cushion of for the seat, and is secured to a planar support member for the emplacement of the seat unit within the article of luggage.

Abstract: An auxiliary hand article of luggage is disclosed, which includes an exteriorly accessible pocket which can be readily converted to a strap for temporarily securing the auxiliary hand article to the U-shaped handle extending upward from the top of a separate article of wheeled luggage. The externally accessible pocket is readily converted into a securement strap by the opening of a closure, which may be in the form of a zipper.

Abstract: A backpack provided in combination with a seat unit in which the seat unit may be completely separated from the back pack when it is desired to use the seat unit and when in its storage condition is compactly contained within an auxiliary compartment of the back pack. The seat unit may also be used while it is connected to the back pack, with a portion of the back pack re-positioned to provide a cushion for the seat. Abstract: A modular, self-contained, protective carrying-case for an electronic unit, such as a laptop computer, is disclosed. The laptop computer is tightly and snugly contained within a sling, which is resiliently located between a pair of cushioned, rigidized, side boards. The carrying-case is compact and includes appropriate cushioning for the laptop computer, so as to readily permit the carrying-case, including the laptop computer, to be inserted into a business case or other articles of luggage, such as a wheeled carry-on case, backpack, briefcase, zippered portfolio or attache case.
