  • Publication number: 20240112574
Abstract: A parking enforcement device can be secured to a surface adjacent to the area designated as NO PARKING. The enforcement device can include an elongated hollow body, a window provided to the tubular body, a battery, an internal frame assembly disposed inside of the elongated hollow body, and a camera disposed inside of the elongated hollow body. The internal frame assembly defines a cavity in which the battery is located. A camera support pole extends vertically upwards from the internal frame assembly. The camera is secured to the camera support pole and located vertically along the camera support pole such that the camera views outward through the window. A solar panel can be provided atop the parking enforcement device to recharge the battery.

  • Patent number: 5280559
Abstract: An electrical storage heater having a heat store which is electrically heated, an internal air passage which extends upwardly through the heat store, a flow controller which is located above the upper end of the internal passage for controlling the convective flow of the air through the internal passage, and an actuator for the flow controller. The actuator includes a bimetallic element secured to the flow controller.

  • Patent number: 4894516
Abstract: An electric storage heater which is heated from a source of electricity made available only over an off-peak (low tariff) period. The heater includes an air flow control mechanism comprising a damper in the form of a flap (10) controlled by bimetallic elements that can be set at any stage during an on-peak period (such as a manually operative boost switch to increase the heat output of the heater) and automatically reset during the next subsequent off-peak period.

  • Patent number: 4557379
Abstract: A thermoformed structural foamed plastic container for electrical circuit boards and the like is provided with a conductive outer surface to dissipate electrostatic charges which can adversely affect the circuit elements disposed within the container. The container is preferably formed of integrally joined clamshell sections which are connected by an integral hinge and are provided with suitable support bosses and the like for securing an electrical circuit element within the package interior. The entire exterior or interior surface of the container is provided with a spray or brush deposited or vacuum applied conductive coating comprising carbon or other metallic substances. The container may be formed in two separate sections joined together with interlocking tabs and slots which provide electrically conductive engagement between the container sections.

  • Patent number: 4345639
Abstract: A heat storage unit of the kind comprising a housing in which heat storage elements are contained, with a common passage extending through the heat storage elements, and through which air is fed by a fan to remove heat from the storage elements to apply the heat to the room being served by the unit. To permit the unit to provide for circulation of air in the room being served, without raising the temperature of the air by contact with the heat storage elements, a valve means is provided which is movable between a first condition in which air flows from an air inlet of the unit to an air outlet at least in part through the heating passage, and a second condition in which said air flows from the inlet to the outlet directly, and not by way of the heating passage.

  • Patent number: 4170729
Abstract: A heating device having a thermal store provided with an electrical heater has said heater controlled by a charge control circuit which includes a programme generator delivering an output signal in the form of a programme corresponding to a load balancing condition and includes a state of charge sensor which delivers a state of charge signal compared with the programme in a comparator. The heater for the store comprises a plurality of heating elements, the number of which brought into operation to charge the store is controlled by a weather signal provided by an outside temperature sensor. Preferably the comparator provides a delay from the beginning of the off-peak period before energization of the heater starts.
