The closure device can have a substantially flat aspect, and have a depth thickness that is substantially greater than the thickness or width of a majority of the members forming the closure device to reduce out of plane bending. The actuation assembly is configured to move the anchor portion between a deployed state and retracted state while the occluder portion maintains a deployed state. In one embodiment, a repair device system for fixating soft tissue to bone includes a carrier member, multiple anchors, and a bone anchor. The pad portions are configured to be positioned over a side of the soft tissue and the bone coupling portion is coupled to the multiple pad portions. Each anchor is sized and configured to extend through the at least one opening defined in one of the multiple pad portions and through the soft tissue. The bone anchor is configured to be coupled to the bone coupling portion and configured to be secured to the bone.

A restraining member positioned about the stent comprises two or more portions that are held together by one or more actuating members. The one or more actuating members can be positioned by a user in a proximal direction, since the one or more actuating members extend to the proximal end, or handle, of the guide member. When a user moves the one or more actuating members in a proximal direction, the one or more actuating members slide away from the two or more portions, allowing the stent to expand. The stent delivery device can further be configured to include an embolic protection component.

In one embodiment, a repair device includes an elongated flexible structure and multiple anchors, the multiple anchors pre-positioned with the elongated flexible structure. The repair device may be coupled to the tendon or ligament at the repair site with a delivery device. The repair device may be pre-positioned in a cartridge such that the cartridge is loaded into the delivery device. The lacerated tendon or ligament is positioned within a cradle portion of the delivery device such that the tendon is positioned between the cradle portion and the cartridge that holds the repair device. The delivery device may then be triggered to actuate and drive the repair device from the cartridge to couple to the lacerated tendon or ligament. In this manner, the repair device may be anchored to the lacerated tendon.

    Abstract: Several embodiments are set forth of devices, systems and methods for modifying an atrial appendage such as a left atrial appendage (LAA). In one embodiment, a device includes a body that is collapsible and self-expanding. The body includes a textured surface with protruding portions and recessed portions. The body may be formed of a reticulated foam material and may exhibit a substantially spherical geometry or a truncated spherical geometry. The body may be substantially hollow. In one embodiment, portions of the textured surface may be metalized or have a coating placed thereon to enhance frictional engagement of the body with the atrial appendage wall. In another embodiment, a mesh bag is disposed within an LAA and one or more self-expanding bodies are disposed within the mesh bag. The mesh bag is then secured to retain the self-expanding bodies within the bag and the LAA.
