  • Patent number: 6584633
Abstract: A method and apparatus provide for an automated fragrance dispenser for the application of a fragrance to dry fabrics during an industrial laundering process. In one embodiment, the fragrance dispenser is positioned outside the dryer, and preferably on the exit side of the steam tunnel in the laundering process. The fragrance dispenser includes a sensor for determining whether the garment passing on the conveyor is the type of garment to which the fragrance is to be applied, for example, a uniform shirt versus pants. The fragrance dispenser also includes a delivery system for applying the fragrance to selected garments. The delivery system also includes a timing device for dispensing the fragrance onto the garment for a controlled amount of time. In an alternative embodiment of the present invention, automated application of the fragrance to fabrics is provided in the dryer within the laundering process.

  • Publication number: 20020170981
Abstract: The present invention is a portable dilution cleaning system for applying any detergent and/or rinsing product directly onto surfaces being cleaned. The system connects very quickly to a faucet (145) using a quick disconnect assembly (99) and a dispensing and rinsing gun (200, 200′ or 300) sprays use solutions and rinse water directly onto the surfaces to be cleaned. The quick disconnect assembly (99) includes a quick disconnect with a back flow prevention (100) and a quick disconnect aerator (147). The quick disconnect aerator (147) connects to the faucet (145) and the quick disconnect with a back flow prevention (100) connects to the quick disconnect aerator (147). A hose (256) interconnects the quick disconnect assembly (99) and the dispensing and rinsing gun (200, 200′ or 300).

  • Patent number: 4802630
Abstract: An aspirating foamer having a water inlet path to admit water into the nozzle assembly, two diametrically opposed foaming material inlet paths perpendicular to the water inlet path, and a conical conduit wherein the pressurized water and foaming materials mix and are allowed to expand; and an air inlet valve at the exiting end of the conical conduit for admitting air; and an exiting path for the foam. In one foamer (2) the conical conduit has an outwardly tapered angle of approximately 5 degrees (from centerline) initially with an immediate increase to an outwardly tapered angle of about 7 degrees in the second half of the conical conduit. In another embodiment foamer (102) according to the invention the conical conduit has an initial taper of 21/2 degrees followed by a 15 degree diffusion angle and then a 7 degree angle.

  • Patent number: 4462425
Abstract: A backflushing system capable of being used with an automatic milking device is the subject of this patent application. The system includes a control cam (54) which can be moved linearly to effectuate the various functions. The cam (54) has formed thereon a plurality of lands (64, 66, 68, 70) which operate various actuators (92, 94, 96). The various flushing functions and operation of a fail-safe valve (30) are governed by the actuators (92, 94, 96). In a preferred embodiment, the cam (54) is movable in both forward and reverse directions and is so controlled by a toggle switch (72), movable between two positions, which operates a two position, five way regulation valve (58).

  • Patent number: 4372345
Abstract: A fail-safe valve (10) for precluding contamination of fluid, such as milk, having passed through a main fluid flow line (12) from an input end, such as a milking claw, to a collection and storage tank is the subject of this application. A flushing conduit (46) through which flushing water or a sanitizing agent flows intersects the main fluid flow line (12).A pinching element (54) is provided with a first arm (56) for pinching closed the main line (12) at a resilient portion thereof down-flow from the intersection (48) of the conduit (46) with the main line (12). The element (54) also includes a second arm (58) which is angularly spaced from the first arm (56). The pinching element (54) is mounted for pivoting about an axis so that, when the element (54) is in its first position, the main line (12) will be pinched closed. With the element (54) in this first position, the flushing conduit (46) will not be occluded.
