  • Patent number: 5066156
Abstract: A writing instrument cap which can provide a substantially air-tight seal about a point or nib carried by the barrel of a writing instrument and which also includes passageways which permit air to flow through internal regions of the cap.

  • Patent number: 5056949
Abstract: A correction fluid dispenser comprising a body member adapted to retain a correction fluid and a barrel disposed at one end thereof for delivery of the fluid to a surface. The barrel terminates in an orifice formed by a circular rim with a spherical ball of greater diameter disposed at the orifice. The ball is supported by a socket member, the ball and socket means being spring biased toward the orifice. A stop means is provided to prevent the ball from extending entirely within the rim of the orifice.

  • Patent number: 4932800
Abstract: A compressible finger gripping device for assembly with the surface portion of an article such as a writing instrument or a shaving instrument or the like. The device includes a substantially cylindrical body formed of a compressible, elastomeric material and defined by a substantially uniform OD and ID along the axial length of the body. A plurality of ribs arranged substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body and substantially equidistantly spaced apart from each other are carried about the I.D. The combination of the selected compressible material, the selected I.D. and OD dimensions of the body and the selected number, depth and thickness of the ribs cooperate and converge to provide a compressibility index (CI) valve for the device between about 1000 to about 18,000 gms/cm.

  • Patent number: H1050
Abstract: A writing instrument is provided with a manual gripping device adjacent the writing point which comprises a resilient finger gripping portion of the assembly having a tubular sleeve enveloping the resilient portion. The resilient portion comprises an elongated tube, and a plurality of elongated slots formed therein extending axially with respect to the writing instrument barrel assembly over substantially the length of the resilient portion. The resilient portion may be a portion of the writing instrument barrel assembly, or the resilient portion and sleeve may be in the form of a separate unit which is installed over the barrel assembly.
