Abstract: A vehicular viewing system is disclosed that allows a driver following a large vehicle the ability to see in front of the large vehicle. The viewing system may consist of an electronic viewing arrangement, a periscope viewing arrangement or both.

Abstract: A whirling banner having a handle, an axle portion disposed on the handle, a banner, and a radial arm having means for attaching the banner at one end and means for rotatingly supporting the axle at the other end. The radial arm is preferably constructed of two halves folded over one another, defining a fold at one end. At the end opposite the fold, the radial arm has a barb on one half for piercing and attaching the banner. The barb engages a hole on the other half and holds the two halves of the arm together. The end of the arm closest the fold has a hole passing through both halves for rotatingly supporting the axle. The axle has a hub for keeping the axle in the hole while allowing the arm to freely rotate about the axle.

The pompon portion is particularly adapted to contain plastic strips, ribbons or the like disclosing particular colors to convey a particular theme or message. The handle portion is particularly adapted to contain a severable redeemable portion or portions as well as a surface for the imprinting of advertisements, messages and the like.

Abstract: A highly bulked kaolin pigment is prepared by mixing a small but effective amount of a water-soluble cationic polyelectrolyte flocculant with a kaolin clay pigment in the presence of water to prepare a bulked clay pigment product. Upon dewatering, the resultant polyelectrolyte treated clay product can be dispersed to form high solids clay-water slurries useful in making aqueous coating colors suitable for manufacturing coating lightweight publication papers or the pigment can be used as a filler for paper webs.

Abstract: The present invention provides oil-soluble, polymeric surface-active agents which are polyimide-amine salts of styrene-maleic anhydride copolymers having pendant tertiary amine groups containing a salt-forming tertiary nitrogen atom neutralized to the extent of at least about 75 percent with mono-carboxylic acids for instance having an aliphatic chain of at least about 8 carbon atoms. The salts of this invention exhibit the property of lowering the surface tension at oil-water interfaces. The polyimide-amine salts can also contain mixed imides resulting from the reaction of dialkylaminoalkylamines and monoalkyl amines or mixed imide-amides resulting from the reaction of dialkylaminoalkylamines and dialkylamines. This invention also provides oil compositions containing mineral oil and the oil-soluble, polymeric surface-active polyimide-amine salts, with or without water.
