  • Publication number: 20120251816
Abstract: A foamboard has a polystyrene foam core, first and second base layers respectively adhered to opposite sides of the foam core and first and second outer layers respectively adhered to the first and second base layers. The first and second base layers are polymer film and the outer layers are paper or paperboard. The polymer film base layers are securely adhered to the foam core either as the foam core is formed or by adhesive, and the polymer film base layer provides a smooth surface for securing the paper or paperboard outer layer by adhesive. This provides a more secure attachment of the outerlayers to the foam core.

  • Publication number: 20110217518
Abstract: Colored posterboard and particularly fluorescent colored posterboard is economically produced by utilizing a paperboard substrate of all or substantially all recycled materials with a first base coat on each side of the paperboard substrate. The base coat includes clay and a binder and is applied to smooth out surface irregularities and substantially cover darker mottled coloration of the substrate. The one or more base coats do not require the color pigments but may include whiteners. A top coat including color pigment, is applied at a low coating rate of 3 to 5 lbs over the base coat such that the posterboard has good coloration without high expense of color pigments. The saving is greatest when using fluorescent pigments.

  • Patent number: 7293380
Abstract: A portable display device has a rectangular center panel having a top edge, a bottom edge, two side hinges and a back, with first and second rectangular side panels respectively hingedly connected to the center panel by the two side hinges thereof. A support foot has a base hingedly connected to the bottom edge of the center panel and foldable to lie adjacent the back of the center panel, and first and second legs hingedly connected to the base and deployable extending rearwardly from the base and configured for releasable interconnection spaced from the base, thereby to maintain the support foot in a configuration extending rearwardly from the center panel and supporting the center and side panels in an upright position.
