  • Publication number: 20240080617
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for a wireless media system including a wireless speaker device and a host device forming a peer-to-peer wireless network. The host device provides audio content to the speaker device, and the speaker device can decode and process the audio content received from the host device. The speaker device can be in various states that consume different level of powers, such as a standby state, a wake state, a connected state. The speaker device can determine the host device is in an inactive state or an active state. When the speaker device determines the host device is in an inactive state, the speaker device can enter the standby state, enable the communication circuit and the audio processing circuit of the speaker device to be in a low power state to save power.

  • Publication number: 20230140805
Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to improving path selection within a network having a single service set identifier (SSID), and more particularly, toward a media device selecting an access point from a group of access points on the same SSID based on composite metrics generated for each access point. The composite metrics may be based on network capabilities of the media device and the respective access points in the group of access points.

  • Publication number: 20090111082
Abstract: A new learning system is described. Embodiments of the learning system include an authoring system including software utilities that enable a designer to create newly effective learning material from existing content. The system further includes an infrastructure for licensing and distribution of the created learning modules that include copyright and pirating protection and license transfer. The system is based upon established theories of learning and enables the untrained designer to create an electronic learning experience that best takes advantage of these learning theories. The material has been tested and shown effective in a variety of learning and counseling situations.

  • Patent number: 4602632
Abstract: An improved hemostatic clip for use in occluding blood vessels during surgical procedures is disclosed which is formed of bio-absorbable magnesium and is shaped to minimize any effects of the brittle properties of magnesium during use. The metallic bio-absorbable clip is smaller in size than existing non-metallic, bio-absorbable clips and eliminates the need for a locking mechanism structure on the clip.
