  • Patent number: 9078542
Abstract: A fry basket is provided with an ergonomic handle. The handle is ergonomic by being formed from linear or substantially linear sections of rigid wires, which are laterally and vertically spaced away from each other to provide a structure formed of rigid wires that resembles or similar to a large-diameter cylindrical handle or dowel.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 14, 2015
    Assignee: Archer Wire International Corporation

  • Publication number: 20140263344
Abstract: A wire fry basket is made from an inverted, frusto-pyramidal-shaped wire-mesh basket having four, inclined wire mesh sides, a wire mesh bottom and an open top. The top edge of the wire mesh basket, inclined wire-mesh corners and its bottom, horizontally-oriented wire mesh corners are protected by a rigid wire frame. The inclined wire mesh corners formed by and between the wire mesh sides are only partially covered or protected by short, rigid wires that extend upwardly from the bottom wire frame. Using short, corner-protecting wires reduces the weight of the basket that would otherwise result from using full corner-length wires.

  • Patent number: 7383963
Abstract: A rigid wire frame is formed around the exterior of a wire mesh fry basket. The rigid wire frame is shaped as an inverted frusto-pyramid. The inverted frusto-pyramid allows the baskets to be stacked together. A rigid wire hook, opposite a rigid wire handle enables the basket to be hung from an edge. The rigid wire frame protects the wire mesh fry basket from damage.

  • Patent number: 7341162
Abstract: A rigid wire frame is formed around the exterior of a wire mesh fry basket. An ergonomic handle having at least one protuberance enables a person to firmly grip the handle with less muscle strength than is required to grip a straight handle. A rigid wire hook, opposite a rigid wire handle enables the basket to be hung from an edge.
