  • Patent number: 9351590
Abstract: A telescopically adjustable shelf divider for dividing merchandise shelving having different front-to-back depth dimensions and non-standardized openings in the surfaces thereof. Front and back divider panels are formed by vertically spaced apart and horizontally extending panel-forming elements arranged so that the panel-forming elements of one divider panel lie in a common plane with the panel-forming elements of the other divider panel and at least one panel-forming element of one panel is slidably supported by a panel-forming element of the other divider panel. Retaining elements are fixed to panel-forming elements of one divider panel and extend vertically beyond a panel-forming element of the other divider panel to maintain the panels is overlapping, telescopically adjustable relation.

  • Patent number: 8857087
Abstract: A label holder and sign holder system for attachment along the front face of a merchandise display shelf. The label holder has a forwardly projecting, downwardly opening sign grip extending along its upper edge for receiving and gripping upper edges of sign cards, which can be positioned along the length of the label holder. A sign holder, which is narrow in relation to the label holder, has a mounting clip at its upper edge which snaps over the sign grip and releasably locks the sign holder to the label holder, while permitting the sign holder to be laterally adjusted along the label holder. The sign holder has a panel extending downward from the mounting clip and carrying a sign clip for displaying a sign at right angles to the label holder. When no sign is displayed, the sign holder can be left in position or moved to an inconspicuous location.

  • Patent number: 8844181
Abstract: A back-loading display hook for the dispensing of products having limited shelf life, where the products are supplied in containers having enlarged tops and narrower necks. Spaced apart support rods, extend forwardly, spaced to accommodate the necks, while suspending the products by their tops. The inner ends of the product rods are spaced apart a greater distance, sufficient to receive the enlarged tops of the products and form a loading position. The products are loaded by moving the tops upward in the loading position, and then sliding them forward onto the narrower portions of the support rods. A stop element is associated with the load position, and is displaceable to allow upward loading of the products onto the support rods, while preventing rearward movement of products back into the load position. Optionally, the display hook may be disposed horizontally, or inclined to cause the products to advance forward by gravity.

  • Publication number: 20030163906
Abstract: An extruded plastic sign clip is mounted on the top edge of a shelf-mounted label holder. The sign clip is employed optionally to mount a special offer or construction prominently on the front of the label holder. The clip has front and back walls, with resilient, flap-like retention ribs extending rearwardly from the front wall and a relatively smaller, soft friction rib being provided on the forwardly facing surface of the back wall. In order to insure that the sign clip is not mounted on the label holder in an improper (reverse) orientation, the front wall of the clip is joined to the back wall by downwardly and forwarding extending, preferably arcuate, wall. This both imparts an improved appearance to the clip, as well as making the accidental reverse orientation of the clip very unlikely. The clip is especially advantageous when used in connection with extruded plastic label holders formed of front and back panels joined along bottom edges and forming an upwardly opening label-holding pocket.

  • Patent number: 6470613
Abstract: A label holder for mounting on a shelf channel having an intermediate portion with front and rear surfaces and upper and lower forwardly-projecting flanges, has front and back panels and a shelf channel clip extending from the back panel. A base portion of the shelf channel clip extends from a middle point of the back panel. A shelf channel lower flange-engaging projection extends rearwardly from a rear surface of a lower flange-engaging portion and contacts an upper surface of the lower flange of the shelf channel, and is sized and shaped to limit downward movement of the label holder with respect to the shelf channel. A shelf channel rear surface-engaging portion contacts the rear surface of the intermediate portion of the shelf channel at a point between the upper and lower flanges of the shelf channel. A forwardly-facing C-shaped portion of the shelf channel rear surface-engaging portion has an opening facing the rear surface of the intermediate portion of the shelf channel.

  • Patent number: 6299004
Abstract: A shelf organizing system for dividing flat merchandise display shelving. An extruded front rail member typically of generally L-shaped configuration is secured to the front of a shelf, providing a vertical barrier wall. A retention channel, preferably including one or more resilient retention flanges, is formed integrally with the front rail member. Divider elements, extruded in continuous lengths and cut to desired length for particular shelf width, are formed with a vertical flange and a horizontal stabilizing flange. The stabilizing flange is insertable in the retention channel, at any point along its length, and is tightly gripped therein to hold the divider element in any desired position. The divider element may be easily installed by pressing laterally into contact with merchandise to be segregated, and then moving the divider into the retention channel. Divider elements may also be formed advantageously of wire instead of plastic.

  • Patent number: 6263603
Abstract: An extruded plastic label holder for placement on the flat front surface of a product display shelf. The label holder includes a clear front panel joined along its bottom edge with a second panel. The second panel is adhesively mounted on the shelf front surface, either directly or by means of a third panel flexibly joined with the second panel along upper edges of both. A short, rigid fulcrum rib is formed integrally with one of the second or (if employed) third panels, slightly above the bottom edge of the second panel and extending generally at right angles thereto. When the bottom edge of the label holder is pressed, the second panel flexes about the fulcrum rib, opening a gap at the upper portion of the label holder for placement or removal of paper labels. The use of a third panel helps to isolate the forces applied in flexing the second panel from the adhesive attachment, enabling less aggressive adhesives to be effectively utilized.

  • Patent number: 6189248
Abstract: A mounting bracket for securing an electronic label to the front of a store display shelf. The bracket is a one-piece metal sheet formed to provide a central body portion with clips for securing the electronic label. An upper support member extends rearwardly from the upper edge of the body portion and has shelf-engaging lugs adapted to be received in selected ones of regularly spaced openings in the shelf. A spring clip extends rearward from the bottom edge and resiliently and/or frictionally engages bottom contours of the shelf, to secure the bracket at the front edge of the shelf. The bracket is considerably less expensive and easier to install then conventional devices for this purpose, which typically extend the full length of a display shelf.
